Good evening all. Am I the only one who CCW's the 40 full size? For me it is more comfortable to wear and shoot (I am 6'-2" and 225 lbs.) compared to the 40c. I just do not see or hear of many people carrying an M&P full size as a CCW weapon. Thanks.

That will be my gun of choice when I get my CHL. I already have a cheap uncle Mike's IWB that I have used around the house. I find it fairly easy to conceal even just wearing a t shirt and not heavy at all. I'm 6' and 165.

I carry a FS .40 all the time! I was just carrying it today in 92 degree heat with humidity, in shorts and a 5.11 cover shirt, and didn't take it off until I went to bed. Plus carrying 2 spare mags on my weak side!

I was using a Comp-tac infidel with optional c-tac strut.

that is what I carry. full sized m&p .40, with two spare mags. I am 5'9'' 225. I just bought a viridian x5l though, now I need to get a new holster so I can carry with my tac light/laser.

No, you are not the only person who carries the full-size .40 as a CCW. The FBI issues the Glock 22 (they apparently no longer issue the Glock 23 as an alternative as they once did, for reasons beyond the scope of this answer). Thus, although it is not the M&P, it is nearly the same size as the M&P Full Size, so there are a few thousand others out there who carry a full-size .40 pistol as a concealed carry weapon.

Im 5'6" 140# and I carry a fs40 everyday was using a cheap iwb uncle mikes while I waited the long and painful 6 weeks for my alien gear to show up but absolutely worth the wait I don't often plug brands but if there is a time and a product to do it with alien gear is it it's the most comfortable holster I've ever used and the price is unbeatable if they make a shell that would hold my model 19 4 inch 357 revolver I would probably carry that some days

5'6" 205lbs and FS .40 is in my rotation without any issues. Actually, it was my 1st purchase. Shares time with a .40c and a 638 pocket carry. Picture is for demo purposes only.

I usually carry cc. Only open carry on occasion while in oc states, but very rarely.:)

Note: A good quality belt and holster make all the difference.

Am glad that you can carry a full size concealed. Don't think I could make a 5.5" overall height piece work for me the way I like to carry. Used to carry a Glock 23 strong side IWB and that is a full 1/2" shorter in overall height. Still carry it on a whim, but it requires a bit more planning as far a shirt choices go in order to keep the grip from printing.

Over the last couple of years, I have latched on to the smaller double stacks. For the last 10 months it's been the 30S (9+1), but still have a MP compact in the rotation when I want to wear a shirt that is a little tighter, or tuck my shirt in because of it's slightly smaller grip radius over the Glock. With an overall height around 4.3"-4.5" I don't need to be as concerned with the grip printing as I found happens for me with anything else approaching or exceeding an overall height of 5".

I carry mine in cooler weather. I find it hard to conceal w/o a jacket of some type. My little 2 1/2" bulldog gets the nod during shorts and Tte-shirt weather.

I carry my FS M&P .40 everyday. Just got my Alien Gear Holster Cloak Tuck 1.0 and its great. Even carried around for awhile with just the Aegis Armory Guardian attached to my belt loop and tucked into my waist. Im 6' and 270lbs with a gut! Im comfy, handles naps too!

+1 on the good belt and holster. This is critical when carrying a decent sized handgun. I am 5' 10" and 210 pounds and carry either a Glock 22 or a 4" Ruger GP100 .38 off duty daily in Galco Summer Comfort holsters on a Wild Bill's double thickness bullhide belt. My shirts are sized one size larger to drape over the butt of the gun.
