Am I the only guy who buys roses for their Wife on a regular basis?

Flowers

I have been married to the same one for 43 years. I used to buy her flowers probably every 4-6 weeks. few years ago, she said they are nice, but not really worth the money. I bought them arranged at a flower shop.
So now I buy them 2-3 times a year.

Flowers

I don't specifically buy roses for my wife, but if I see a bouquet that catches my eye I will pick it up whether it's a special occasion or not. She loves all kinds so sometimes it's a mixed bouquet, sometimes an orchid or African violet. Every spring I take her to a greenhouse and she picks out a pickup load of annuals and perennials to plant on our acreage. I enjoy them almost as much as she does .

Jim, I thought you had disappeared on us!

I send or deliver my wife 1/2 dozen roses with card every week for about 19 years now.soon to be 1000 weeks in a row.the idea is to make her feel as special as I think she is.when she was teaching I had them sent to the school.I think a lot of other teachers husbands didn't care much for me.she's The best thing that's ever happened to me and I want to let her know it.also she never asks how much I spend on guns.

Aloha,

When I was dating my Wife,

I had a job that required me to be outside a lot.

Soo, I would stop by a hill side that I knew had different kinds of ginger flowers.

I would cut a bunch,

call her on my Motorola brick cell phone,

tell her to meet me fronting her office building

where I gave her a bunch of Very Fresh gut ginger blossoms.

Went over big in her all girls office.

Now I just by her jewelry from the Wal Mart clearance case.

She's happy with that, just for thinking of her.

My Wife

Gets mad if I buy her flowers! And she is correct. They just die in a few days and a waste of money. She says, if she wants roses, she'll plant a rose bush.

But she has NEVER complained about jewelry or a box of chocolates!!

Mrs Houston would be very suspicious if roses showed up spontaneously. Probably start looking around for a new gun in the house.
