An I the only one who clicks on the "You have new likes" link and then see the thread name that the like is on and wonder "what did I post in that thread" and have to click on it in order to remember what I posted. well, that and to see if there are any interesting posts after mine, or even in response to mine.

Maybe that's from worrying about getting a ding.

One of the reasons you can't remember what you posted is people are going back and rereading posts from years ago and then "Liking" that old post. Between being old and a stroke survivor, I'm also goofy over S&W revolvers and I drank the reloading "Blue Kool-ade" in the mid 80's. I doing good to recognize the face in the mirror when shaving! Ivan (or whoever I am!)

I think we all do it to some extent but not like the folks on facebook. They all suffer from OAD (Obsessive Acceptance Disorder) and "likes" are their life blood.

Well, I don't go through life with long hair, dark skin, tattoos, a pierced ear with a dangly silver tomahawk and stainless hoop earrings and wearing a beaded arrowhead necklace, concerning myself with about what people think of me.

Mmmm. I think poorly of Facebook and do not understand stand it.

But now after reading what you've said----am I a hypocrite?

Is THIS Facebook in different substance???

Maybe I should quit making fun of all those young chicks at the office.

I have a neighbor that posts everything she does all day long, every day. I don't have a FB account but my wife does and tells me about it. She's asked her why she puts her whole life out there and she said because people LIKE it. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I myself LIKE a bit of privacy.

Honestly I don't even know where to find a "you have new likes" button. But I have checked for likes when I've posted something I thought was unusually silly. Kind of keeping tabs on my sanity. :D

I'm just here for the "fun"! CRS, so sometimes look at likes to see what I wrote. :D
