AM I THE ONLY ONE????

Until Saturday, I didn't even know who was playing.

Years ago I recorded it once, but only because the Coen Brothers had made a commercial for H&R Block that was set to air during the game. I fast-forwarded through the game until I found it.

I went grocery shopping Sunday afternoon, and the store was so empty it was almost eerie.

I have no interest in pro sports. I think watching sports and drinking beer is a waste of time. When my kids were young that time was spent together, hiking, hunting or fishing going to a movie, and bowling was a fun afternoon. As I see it it's just a game; the outcome of the game does not change any thing in the world.

I watched less than 2 minutes of the game...
there was a Vincent Price marathon the better half and I watched...
turned the game on during a commercial and caught 27 seconds of the "entertainment" more than enough for me...
and then turned on the game in between the movies and caught the last 1:25... and I even had money in the office pool... still didn't care...
so you are not alone...

I've never had much interest in team sports. Oh, I can watch a football or baseball game if that's what's on and even enjoy it. But I couldn't give you the name of a single player on any team. Basketball? Nope, never could stand the game.
No I did not watch the Super Bowl.

Why do they call it "sports"? Its a game. Just a stupid game.

Believe me, you are not alone. have felt that way for years,Glad to see I am not alone. As a side note the news showed a picture of a guy sound asleep during the game, seat he was sitting in cost $8000.00.Go figure that one out.

Yeah, I watched it with family friend [12] Started going to sleep in the 2nd half. The commercealials did it. Never caught the meaning or the message. We had venison spaghetti & elk stew later. Enjoyed the meal more than the game.

Another member who lost interest pro sports about 3 years ago, same with TV and movies that star boisterous lib actors. I don't mix politics with entertainment and sports.

Suit yourselves, and to each his (or her) own.:)

It was a might fine football game, though.
😀

Wife and I watched the game, enjoyed it as a good football game, with theteam we wanted to win, winning!

I do want to learn how to wiggle my mustache like Sam Elliott! 😉
Horse already knows how to say no! 🐴

I believe I have reached the emoticon limit now! 🤗

Clearly you are not alone. Ironically, we will never know how many don't care enough about it to even post a reply. My guess is many.

I actually watched most of the second half, but had it recorded, so I buzzed through the commercials. Don't know the name of one single player of any team of any sports. Although I've heard a few of the more famous names, of course, I have no clue who they play for.

I watched college basketball somewheres about 20 years ago, but nothing else but a Championship game if the Cats are in it. :D

I played little league baseball, as a pitcher, but lost interest when I got my first rifle. Hunting sports on TV don't even interest me. But if I'm going, heck yeah!

We're just wired different I suppose. I never could set through a NASCAR race, but local drag racing, yup.

Yesterday most of my friends I saw at our weekly Motorcycle Breakfast asked me who I liked in the Super Bowl. This morning a few friends asked me what I thought of the game. My answer to both of those questions were, " I truly don't have any interest at all in Football and have no idea who is even playing". I did not watch the game and this morning I did not even look at who was playing or who won. Seriously..... I am NOT a Sports fan at all and even if I was, after how the NFL has acted over the past 3 years I wouldn't have watched the game any more regardless.

Am I the ONLY ONE here that has no interest in Football??

Every now and then I see a post I wish I'd written because it eloquently states the exact same thoughts. As a youngster I was always outside playing or otherwise engaged and never could sit still long enough to watch everyone else playing. Rather play it myself that watch it played.

and ditto on the sentence about current trends of the behavior of some of the players.

AM I THE ONLY ONE????

No.

Now that's funny!

Good to see how folks can offer opinions without disparaging those who feel differently.
Nothing to do with the game but I live on a nearly straight line from FLL to Hard Rock (formerly and forever known to me as Joe Robbie Stadium). As the pregame festivities were based out of Miami this year, making for an unpleasant traffic experience from the beach and bayside for the media and everyone else I wasn't bombarded by the constant beating of the air of helicopter traffic.
Which was nice.

Shame they can't showcase the WalMart plaza which sorta passes for beautiful downtown Miami Gardens.
