Here is some pictures. Still high but at least it is there. I only purchased some 6.5 grendel for my future son in law and one box of 9mm, probably should not have bought the 9mm as it was $21. Oh well.20210826_170549.jpg

Those prices are the new normal... might as well get used to it.

I agree for awhile and I will probably pick up a box here and there, but my prediction is that it will eventually settle around 25% to 30% higher. I just don't know how long that will be. What I can say is there were a lot of people looking, but very few buying. I also had a good time just looking at all of it. Saw 38's and 44mags no 357s though.

9 MM ammo at Cabelas.

I have purchased at least 15 box's of 9 MM 115 gr Herters (Winchester) ammo in the past 6 weeks, at Cabelas in Hamburg, Pa. It was $16.95 a box. Considering the times that we are in I didn't feel that was a bad price. No problems firing it out of my Sig 365, or Glock 19.

My local Academy, Jacksonville, FL, had 9mm Lugar Blazer for $14.99 for 50 rounds, cases NOT reloadable. They had moved the ammo back to the usual location in front of the gun sales department. They also had a more reasonable number of guns, still no Modern Sporting Rifles ARs. They were advertising Maverick 88 shotguns for $199 same as 2019.

Who notes we live in interesting times.

Local Bass Pro has consistently had 223, 9mm, 22 lr and most shotshell options for the last month. Usually with a sprinkling of 308, 6.5 Creed, 45, 40 and some oddballs. Still no signs of 30-06, 357 Mag and rarely see 38, 380, 243 or 44 mag.

Wife went to Academy today and they had plenty of 9MM and 5.56.
5.56 FEDERAL was 60-70 cents per round . 9mm REMINGTON was .38 cents per round.
This store gets a truck on MONDAY , WEDS, FRI at 04:00 and it is put out for open at 09:00. 5 months ago you had to be there at 07:30 and stand in line until 09:00 open. Ammo was all gone in 40 minutes. Now ammo lasts until late in the day and sometimes until the next day.

Yesterday, I got an email from Academy Sports. Norma 9mm 124 gr FMJ 50 rounds for $19.99 which is pretty much the 2019 price, of course Academy is usually a bit high.
