some of the worst ****... they did GET you on that one.
What problems have you had with it?

I have never used any of their 38 ammo but haven't had any problems with Remington ammo in other calibers.

These days $.40/round is as inexpensive as 38 Special gets. The best price I have seen online is about $.42 to $.44 for range ammo.

Never had a problem with this load shoots accurately out of my 3 inch 64

I shoot when I go for my retired conceal carry requal and always shoot 100%

The SAAMI specification for .38 Special jacketed bullet diameter allows 0.355”. Look it up. Even as a worst case, a maximum tolerance SAAMI .38 Special bore (land) diameter (0.350”) will provide 0.005” engagement for a 0.355” bullet. And at best, a 0.009” engagement. Years ago I came into a very good deal on 1000 130 grain .38 Super FMJ bullets. Many of them found their way into .38 Special cases, no ill effects resulted as I remember.

if your 38 special shoots accurately with a bullet that was factory made for a 9mm or 38 super,, im not buying your gun.

No worries none of my 3 inch guns are for sale and never will be!

By the way this load shoots accuratly out of my model 60 and 649 both are 357 mags.

This thread was meant for anyone looking for factory 38 ammo that had a price tag that was comming back down to earth.

If you dont like the ammo dont buy it!

Was recently shopping for .38 special and got some sticker shock when compared to bulk 9mm.

On a side note SW sold off some leftover Model 547 frames with a spare .357 cylinder and yoke IIRC so the SW bore differences can't be too critical.
Ruger , Taurus and Korth all offered .38/357 revolvers with 9mm cylinders as well.
With the huge price difference been debating either pulling my 547 outta the safe or buying moon clips and one of those new 9mm SW revolvers.

The majority of my DA Revolvers are in 38 spl. and I never thought that caliber would be hard to find in a specific configuration wanted or the prices would rise that insanely!

Thankfully I have been rolling my own for 40+ years! Haven't actually had to buy any 38 spl. in decades (except for self defense carry ammo - which I've got enough of to last me). These days I carry a 9 for SD.
