Ammo Preference?

Saw Winchester M 22 bulk boxes 1000 rounds today. Wanted to get the opinions on who has tried them with the M&P 15-22. Before I drop any money wanted others opinions?

Heard good things about the M-22, so picked up 1k @ Wal-Mart for $48 to test head to head against the CCI Tactical, which has easily been the most accurate round for my 15-22 I've tried in bulk thus far....

That being said, the CCI Tactical still produces the tightest groups for me @ 50 yds... the competition was: Winchester M-22, Remington Yellow Jacket, CCI Blazer, Federal 525... (list ordered by accuracy - so the M-22 was 2nd overall)

Nothing but CCI Minimags for me... Shoot other stuff but I stock up on CCI... Did just that at the gun show this weekend.

Blazer is good, but they seem to be having some qc issues with lube right now. M-22 I liked fine when I shot it. Fed value pack worked well. But my favorite bulk right now is federal auto match, it works good in all my pistols and rifles and gives me great accuracy. I shoot a lot of steel challenge, It's not unusual for me to go through a box or two a day between my ruger 22-45 and my 15-22.

Walmart has Winchester and Federal bulk 550 count for $19.00. My M&P .22 loves them both. My 9mm loves the Federal also at Walmart...100 for $20.00.

I had 10 Win WildCats left to get rid of so I loaded a mag and popped off ten quick shots with the 15 22 at a 4 inch bulls eye at a hundred yards..........When I looked at the target there was only one hole in the center....I figured I hit it only once, but when I looked on the ground behind the target there were the ten rounds stuck nose to tail like a snake......Go figure.

And I bet you can make me a good deal on some prime land in South Florida, too.

When I shoot at 25 yards, I have to move to the left after a thousand rounds because they stick nose to tail all the way back to the barrel like an anaconda.

The last time I shot with Dan and Gopher I had to wear waders because I didn't have any boots with high enough tops!

You were standing to our right and our spent shells went over your waders. Well, mine did. Dan couldn't get his WildCats to function properly.

No joke....I fired my remaining WildCats thru my (Walther) Colt C 4 and my S&W 2206 pistol with no failures.........However, after considerable bullying from Majorlk I have moved on to the Federal bulk black and red box ammo with 100% reliability in all my junk........I think my 15 22 was just showing me who was boss.

That gives me an idea for a brass catcher. I can just use some tactical duct tape and my Lacrosse irrigating boots. BAM...water proof brass catcher.

I shoot everything except Remington ammo of any type.

Same here, Remington is just DIRTY!!!

And not in a good way
