A good friend of mine had to sell several of his pistols due to hard times, and sold some of his ammo to me.
I ended up with 400 rds of .357 - 200 Blazer Brass 158 grain JHP, 100 rds of S&B 158 grain, 50 rounds of Remington 125 grain JHP, and 50 rounds of American Eagle 158 Flat Tip. Because we're friends, he threw in a 25 round box of Hornady .45 critical defense ammo, and 60 rds of Federal 5.56. I snagged all for $175 OTD!

I've never shot any of the Blazer stuff, and wanted some opinions as to the quality of this brand. Thanks!

I used to shoot the Blazer all the time in my L-frames. I stopped using it when I got a .357 lever action rifle, because the rifle likes ammo with a smoother crimped case mouth.

If you have a Cabelas near you, you can get their credit card (-2%), which comes with occasional 20% discounts. This can be stacked together with -20% sales they run on Herters (S&B) ammo, for a final price of about $16 (-42%).

I stock up every time they run this combo.

There is not one near me, but that is good to know. I can't wait to try this stuff out in my 28-2 when the weather gets better.

I haven't shot.357 Blazer but .38 special Blazer has been good quality with no issues.

Blazer .357 is a very mild load-which is fine.

Seller&Bellot/Herters is great ammo. Like the 9mm and .44 mag in particular. Accurate, reliable and clean.

Thanks! I can't wait to hit the range with this stuff when it warms up a little.

I recently shot 100 rounds of the Blazer aluminum FMJ .40 without an issue. Using a SD40VE.

Nice score. From my past experiences, Blazer is good to go and I sure hope it continues. I just picked up 1k of .45 auto and 1k of 9mm for my stopckpile that is Blazer.
