Ammo Thread Scores

The ammo thread keeps talking about .22lr in stock at Cabelas. The cart shows all the .22lr ammo they carry, but if you/I try to order it says Out of Stock. I have been online all day since 8:00am and the only .22lr in stock has been single boxes of Winchester. Do these posters just imagine they have ordered something, or am I just not looking in the right place?

You're basically looking at a snapshot of an old cart. Sometimes Cabela's system will say out of stock if you go to the main page and search, but if you already have it "in" your cart, you'll occasionally get lucky and it will process the order.

If you're lucky enough to get a processed order, you'll either find it technically was in stock, just not to the mass public; or sometimes you'll get placed on the backorder list, which means next time they get it in, you'll get your order filled before they hit the website.

Hope that helps. Anyone else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Just rechecked the Cabela site and the magical shopping cart is now empty. I'm glad some people scored some ammo while it was open. The local Walmart got some Remington .22 in yesterday but I got there too late. The clerk said they had one case of 500 bulk in Saturday; don't know how many boxes in a case.

Thanks to the ammo thread and Cabela's I've scored over 1,000 rounds between last week and this week so far. Three CCI Blazers and one CCI tactical. FYI, the Blazer I ordered today is backordered 2/25.

I'm 3 for 3 so far with orders from Cabela's. One package arrived at the store for pickup on Monday. One arrived at the door yesterday. And the third is scheduled to arrive on Friday.

Thanks again ammo thread and Gunbot. Still haven't seen anything available locally.

It's crazy how quickly you have to jump on these. They're gone before I can even get on them! I scored 500 rounds, but I've missed out on 10 other attempts.

The main site showed SOLD OUT for cci blazers, but in shopping cart they came in as IN STOCK, so I was able to place an order for a 525 pack. We will see what happens.

I scored 300 22lr @ sportsman warehouse this morning along with 150 40 sw and another 200 22lr at my LGS...that is a good day for around here.

Just a moment ago did the shopping car routine and found Blazers in stock. Bingo! Got 500 coming on 2/20 for $30.64 to my door! Yea Cabelas! That shopping cart link has really been a help to me. Since finding it I just haunt the Cabela's site early in the morning before leaving for the office and late at night after I finish work. The other evening I was able to get some of the M-22's and a brick of Blazers. Then after midnight since I was still up I checked the site and was able to get some more Blazers and a 100 rd. box of CCI Mini-Mags. My family is thrilled! Come Easter my daughter and her husband will be visiting. My other daughter is in NYC and may or may not be able to get home. They've put in a request for two things. As is normal, they have asked my wife to cook plenty of chicken and dumplings. And that have told me they want to go shooting! I've got six Pro-Mags converted to 32rds. and three S&W 25rd. magazines, one 15-22, two Ruger 10-22's, my 18-3 and a Marvel 1911 .22 LR Conversion w/ two 10rd. magazines so I figure I can keep the three of them busy for at least two or three days. If I can just keep finding bricks of .22's, I will have enough for them to shoot to their hearts content! And I, I will have fun loading magazines and taking pictures. I applaud the original poster of this thread, those who have made helpful replies and the ones who have reprinted the shopping cart link. It has been a tremendous help. Thank you so very much!

I've got a couple orders waiting for pickup at Cabela's, a couple in transit, and a couple yet to ship. I did notice that I have a pack of CCI Mini Mags from 2/7 that's flagged as backorder. I'm not sure what that's all about since I've seen them come up as "in stock" since then. Maybe the system has over-extended itself? Everything else looks like it should be there by 2/21. I see a trip to the store in my future!

I also do still have a 10 box order of Federal American Eagle Supressor .22 LR (@ $2.99/box, they weren't limiting the item at the time apparently) backordered from 5/25/13. I've seen other sites get that in recently so it'll be interesting to see what happens to my backorder if Cabela's ever gets that back in stock.

Wanted to add my thanks to LibertyHead and whoever figured out the Cabelas shopping cart trick...I think BiggBiker was first to post a link like that, but several have followed.
It has been quite effective. For obvious reasons, I'll leave it at that.

The key on the cabelas link is to view cart refresh/F5, when in stock order now. You only have 2 min or less. I have scored many Thousand since Feb 1 /2014.

Happens all the time, unfortunately. I posted earlier I am about 50% getting completed orders from Cabelas... Their eCommerce system is not the greatest.

I did have 1 of my orders from Cabela's Canceled... that was about 3 days after placing it.. ship to Store....
1st time for me.... Think it was a stock issue,,,, Think they had a Bunch arriving (also found some at local store in stock) and pre-sold them... my Other Orders have finaly shipped..
