Ammo Thread Scores

But how much actually ships?

I'm guessing all that Cabela's has to ship? I'm thinking that a TON of folks place their orders in a matter of minutes and the system doesn't tally quick enough to stop orders when the inventory reaches zero. If I can successfully order twice, that tells me that there are lots of others too. There are several thousand viewer hits on the ammo thread every day.. not counting other ammo monitoring sights... as feeble as they may be compared to here.

One thing for sure is when you place the order and it says processing it goes right on your credit card. Not sure if it doesn't ship how long it takes to come off of the card since this was the first time I tried it.

I have had 14 order of 22lr from Cabelas this year. 10 shipped, 1 is processing , 1 I cancelled. I did have 2 orders cancelled by them for trying to order more than 1 in a single day on 2 separate orders. Those were the 2 they cancelled to punish me for being greedy. It is an addictive habit. I wish I had your ammo budget! #ammoprobz

Lately there's been so much in stock 22LR linked in the ammo thread at decent prices it almost takes out the thrill of the hunt... almost. ;)

Not quite yet but it is getting easier. I got an email notifying me of the acceptance of my order followed in a couple of hours with a tracking number. The bank has already paid for them for it.

The shipment is due tomorrow a.m. By the way, when I completed the order w/ the $5 shipping, the estimated delivery date was 3/6/14. Maybe they were trying to shame me into paying for quicker shipping.

Liberty Head is almost my new best friend. He's right behind the 6' redheaded bartender lady at my favorite purveyor of spirits.

I have used this link in the past few weeks to order 1000's of .22s. I have never had an order cancelled on me. Maybe it's just luck? But it's sure nice to restock my own .22 shelfs at .06-.07$ delivered :)

Why would Cabelas care about this link?? They are in business to make money and if their ammo sells out even quicker than before... Who cares?? They will make money even quicker also.

Same here. The initial order confirmation displayed In stock-Approx delivery Wed 3/05. But UPS shipped it last night night and it's already in Knoxville. So that should put it out for delivery tomorrow unless they turn is over the USPS in Chattanooga which will add another day or three weeks... depending.

Yeah... I'd say Liberty Head has earned his keep around here.

Heck, mine's already on my doorstep waiting for me to get home! I love that they have a warehouse quasi nearby!

Cabela's website says my 2 orders have shipped... but no email yet. I am tired of the hunt, as I am well stocked up and most of my latest purchases have been for other shooters... such as these 2 orders. I pretty much only shoot subsonic anyway.

So one less competitor out there for you folks still in the hunt... unless of course I see case lots of subsonic at a decent price. :)

Being a relatively new shooter (post-panic), can anyone give me an idea of what decent pre-panic prices were on 22LR in a price/per/round ballpark?

Midway is close to prepanic prices. If you were to apply their current discounts to case purchases you'd be about right on the money.

Probably b/c of people who have several cancellations (take me for instance, 12 of 16 orders cancelled in the past two months alone) b/c their ecommerce system can't keep up with the online sales onslaught - those on the tail end (usually only in a matter or minutes) get cancelled b/c they've run out before the orders are filled. And those cancellations could result in a bad impression of Cabelas as a online retailer overall which may cost them other sales down the road.

Not that I am calling and complaining or anything - I agree with the above poster who stated we should not call CS, b/c you never know what kind of reaction Cabelas would have - but there always will be some who will. I just save my bellyache'n for this thread ;).

Although, sitting on around 8K rounds over the past 2 months, I guess I can't complain too much. ;) And I gave 1K away so it's really 9K I suppose.

I have an order to be delivered today and one on the 4th.

Like Jim, I think I am done unless something drastic happens. :)

I, too, have enough .22lr in stock for now unless I find CCI locally at a decent price. I'll avoid shipping charges and online sales. However, nice weather and range time can change that. Ammo disappears fast with the 15-22.

Does anyone know if or how a Cabela's shopping cart can be created for a different caliber, like 9mm?

Blazer 500 packs have shown in stock on Cabela's website, but I called yesterday and today to place an order and was denied both times. Yesterday they said what they had was going to stores and they couldn't sell it over the phone, and today they said there must be a website delay in showing out of stock.

I'm in Illinois, so I have to order over the phone so they can verify FOID card info.. I wondered if people just placing orders on the website were successful.

CCI mini mags were in stock this week at two Walmarts and Dicks nearby, so I picked up 900 rounds of those between the 3 stores. I've already shot a couple hundred of them, so they won't last long. :)

If that's the case, I guess there won't be much M22 on the shelf at Cabela's stores this week.

Cabela's store customers will be giving Liberty Head a special thanks.:D

I went to Cabela's in Hartford yesterday. The ONLY .22 LR on the shelves was 10 boxes of MiniMags, at $8.95, limit one.

On the other hand, Hoffman's (lgs down the road from Cabala's) had a shelf full of Remington Match and Blazer - $24.95/brick limit one.
