Ammo

It's just what I heard but I still ordered due to best pricing. I never ordered ammo online and didn't know I had to email my fpid card. I should have guessed. I found out only cuz I called them many hours later to ask a question. Will see how it plays out.

just ordered 3 boxes from PSA of the above American Eagle.

I just ordered 4 boxes of 90 $29.99 per which got me over the $100 min and gets me free shipping this weekend.

Thats American Eagle 5.56 at the price Wally World was charging pre BATF scare for that Turkish ZQI.

Nice. I'm gonna order 4 more then. When I grabbed the three they weren't offering any free shipping. Thanks for the heads up.

Prob started today, runs through the weekend. They are excluding rimfire in the $100 min but I think that's it.

Some people say Palmetto takes a while to ship but I don't care, I bought plenty of the ZQI when it was available at Wally World.

ZQI is offering their stuff pre-order on their web site. Due May 1st. Scare prob wiped them out and new shipments are on the boat. I bet we will see it return to Wally World around then also.

Ammoseek isn't following Palmetto State Armory? I just checked and they don't have the $29.99 deal for 90 rounds of American Eagle listed.

Target Sports USA has Federal Lake City 1K round loose bulk box for $380. Free shipping on the case + the $5 for insurance. That's about $40 less expensive than I paid for 1K rounds of Wolf Gold from Wideners.

Take it from a guy who used to run around all over the physical world and the Matrix looking for ammo. Save up some $$$. Find somewhere like Target Sports USA that offers free shipping on a case of ammo. Buy by the 1K round case. The first time I did it, it felt like a punch to the nuts. I just spent enough money to pay for an entry level semi auto pistol. The benefit comes from not buying here and there, paying full retail, or when buying online paying the shipping.

While the dollar amount of a single ammo purchase receipt went up, the frequency of ammo purchasing slowed considerably.

I don't mean to incite a panic. This is just a reminder. Remember what happened a month ago when the Obama administration attempted to regulate away green tip 5.56 via ATF decree? 2016 is a presidential election year. Hillary Clinton is now in the running to be the Democratic party nominee. Stock up on ammo while it is still readily available at a good price. Buy that firearm or firearms that you've been hankering for while supply is relatively high and prices are relatively low. Buy standard capacity pistol / rifle magazines while supply is high and prices are low.

It's up to you to ensure that you have what you need to continue participating in and enjoying the shooting sports. Don't become one of those unprepared whiners who bandy about the terms "gouging", "hoarder", "ammo-stalker", advocate that a communist/socialist system be applied to ammunition. Don't be one of those people who call me all sorts of unkind names because I had the foresight to prepare. You know why? I kind of get a kick out if it. It does not bother me a whit that someone who hasn't figured it out by now is whining about not having ammo.

I too ordered 4 boxes last weekend to get in on the NRA sale and free shipping. It was my first order ever from PSA. I placed the order on Saturday morning (Apr 11). UPS delivered the package today (Apr 17). That's only 6 days, fast enough for me. And the price was right, 33.3¢ per round. Thanks for the heads up.

I just ordered the same ammo from them yesterday. Five boxes (90 rds each) for $29.99 with free shipping. If I get it within 10 days I'll be happy. :)

Gah. Japes. Japes. Such a bad influence. I was going to put my extra money into stocks but i may have to buy guns and ammo.

Think part of the election campaign the issues will focus on gun control?

The sad thing is that it won't even take one of the candidates actually mentioning gun control for another scare to happen. All it takes is for a Democrat to lead in the polls for the rumors fly that guns are in danger. I wasn't on any gun forums then but I remember friends who freaked out on the serial numbers on ammo scare. I don't know if it caused a panic on ammo buying or not but the people I know who believed it were buying up ammo and running scared.

Bad influence? Moi? No way. You guys over in the AK thread in the General Firearms & Knives sub-forum are the bad influence. I had a faint interest in Commie Ruskie rifles and their silly 7.62 x 39 tapered cartridges, then I stumbled into that thread... :D

I was going to put my extra money into stocks but i may have to buy guns and ammo.

Oh I put my extra money into retirement investments. I save up my monthly discretionary budget to do the fun stuff...like buy a case of 7.62 x 39 before buying an AK-47 or AK-M.

Not at all. The entire campaign will focus on election donation reform, limiting the amount of money lobbyists, domestic and international corporations can contribute to any single politician. They'll focus on judicial reform, mainly on returning sentencing discretion to judges and eliminating mandatory sentencing terms. They'll also focus on defining and limiting the activities of the DHS and TSA. They'll also remind the voting citizenry that the Office of the President of the US is actually the least powerful of the three branches, the most powerful being congress which represents the people. They'll also start the ball moving on term limits for U.S. Senators and U.S. Congressman. No more career politicians.

Gun control? They won't bring that up.

Hey that looks like what the UPS guy brought me yesterday too! :D

I got a bit of schooling over the winter from the owner of a local convenience store who knows more than a little bit about stamps and coins. He's always wheeling and dealing the old stuff. When I learned that the actual metallic value of a SB Anthony or a Sacajawea dollar coin was about 5 cents I bagged my entire collection of them and bought ZQI 5.56 ammo at Walmart with it.
