The attached two photos show my latest outside-the-box insight. I have been using a modified DeSantis pocket holster (not the one in the attached photos) with my 442 for quite awhile, but have had to actually use duct tape to keep it securely anchored in the pocket. That method has the serious drawback of more or less dedicating the holster to a particular pair of pants unless you want to mess with duct tape as part of your dressing routine. Well, I thought of something that's seeming to work: I put the DeSantis holster into the pocket, then use an ordinary binder clip on the other side of the pocket, the outside, to grab onto the holster on its big flat part where there's no gun. The clip seems to hang there well, and does not result in irritation to the leg, as I thought at first that it might. The clip disappears from consciousness, and the gun is nicely held there in the pants pocket. When I draw the gun, the holster stays with the pants, not with the gun. The result is an increase in confidence that if I ever draw the gun quickly the holster is going to still be in my pocket, and that's a good feeling.
I hope I'm doing the photo attachment properly. If it doesn't come out right I'll come back and see it I can clean it up. I do hope this idea works for you all, and please tell me so if it does.
