This seems like a natural cohabitation to me. Are there others here who admit to an affinity for both quality firearms and timepieces? Show 'em if you got 'em.

Well not a S&W (rather those wheelguns that "turn the other way") but here's my 6" and 8" Pythons with a fav. automatic of mine and a pretty rare smoke.

Call it a gentleman's "survival" kit.

The pics of my watches are not on this computer, but, yes...I also appreciate a finely crafted mechanical watch.

Unfortunately, I've only had the funds to acquire 2 of them. I own and wear a IWC Fliegerchronograph with SS bracelet, and a Bell & Ross Vintage 126 with leather strap. I love these pieces, and wear one of them almost 24/7 (I do also wear a Casio G-shock once in awhile, and a kinda weird Nooka very rarely.)

If I ever hit the lottery, there are probably 3 or 4 (or so) that I'd love to get as well. I might even buy another if I ever become gainfully employed again!

Night, very nice Colts, and watch. I admit ignorance when it comes to cigars.

Tim, I agree about funds. The watches I'd like cost more than most of the firearms I'd like! You have a couple of nice watches.

All.

I don't have any pictures of watches but I've alway believed that two most precision things you can buy these days are a fine gun and a fine watch. I like the original Posters Seiko Automatic as I have been wearing them since my tour in Vietnam in 1969 and I lost mine a few weeks ago when the band broke while trying to land a large fish. I've ordered another one and it should be here in a few days.

Being a toolmaker by trade I appreciate precision and excellent designs. I also accept the fact that anything manufactured can and will have problems at some point, its how you handle your quality defects and PPM defect rates that makes a difference in a company.

With a kiddo on the way my watch and gun buying is done for quite some time however still on my list are a Doxa sub 5000T Pro and probally the last watch I will every buy a Omega Seamaster (preferable vintage).

Have fun and be safe.

I don't have anything very expensive....just highly functional....both on the firearm end and with time pieces.

Night,
A Doxa is my grail watch! I first heard of them reading Clive Cussler. I've told my dear wife if she thinks the guns I like are expensive ...

6Pack,
As I said on another thread in which you posted a pic of your Eco Zilla, great watch! Big, but tough as nails. Until I can afford the Doxa, the Orange Monster will probably be my next purchase.

FYIMO, I love my Seiko. It's my first mechanical, and is accurate to w/in 2 seconds a day. It was shipped from Japan a week after the tsunami. Sorry you lost yours. Please show us your new one when it arrives.

Rdr,
Beautiful Elgin. Having been your Great Grandfather's only makes it better.

Condition - they made a VERY rare short run of the "Clive Cussler" special Doxa's. They popup on Ebay from time to time. Around $3K or so usually. I have just about every Cussler book written.

6pack - the Seiko Orange Monster is great. What a sweet classic orange faced dive watch! I still need to pick one up.

Steve Pearlman runs this place (Atomic Warehouse) in Harrisburg and he always has neat vintage stuff coming and going. Check him out, he's a good guy to deal with.

Night, have you seen the Doxa NUMA edition? They sold out before they were released. Thanks for the link.

How's this? :D

Now that's what I'm talking about! I found a G-shock in the bushes behind an apartment building a few years ago. I don't know how old it was at the time, but it lasted another 3 years for me. Then someone bought me another watch because they thought the thing was ugly.

A couple of favorite revolvers with a couple of favorite automatics.
