I disagree. Cops ALWAYS put their hand on their weapon when approaching a car at night. I KNOW they would have their hand on their weapon when confronting someone breaking into a car!
... In every case, whether the shooting resulted in a death, injury or miss, the officer paid a mental toll. Albeit, some did not appear to be affected by the shoot as others, however there were those whoes lives were grossly, negatively altered. There were also a few that "appeared" not to be bothered. In any event, using deadly force is life altering.
