The Gwinnett show this weekend was pretty interesting. i guy comes to my tables and saw something he liked and said he had a M-58 to trade. Of course I told him to bring it in. He shows me a high condition 58, in the original box, etc. As soon as I saw the SN I knew I had owned it at one time. I had sold it to one of my gun show partners who in turn sold it to this guy. I wish my buddy had just sold it directly to me if he didn't want it any more. It all worked out and my beautiful Model 58 from 1974 is back home. I had bought a new one in '74 but sold it decades ago. I guess having one from 1974 was meant to be.

Years ago I had a 6" Highway patrolman converted to 45 Colt. Smith wasn't making Smiths in 45 Colt at that time. When they came out with the 25-5 in 45 Colt I bought one and traded off my modified revolver. Over the years I've seen that revolver in 2 different pawnshops and one Local gun shop. I kinda wish I had kept that revolver, It was a different 45 Colt revolver with a pencil barrel, It was so light that it really bucked and snorted when you shot full house loads in it.
