And now, a revolver thats REALLY different.

I was watching an old (Dec 2012) episode of "Nikita" and there was one used in that episode. I saw one for sale a few days before this thread started but I'll be darned if I can find where I saw it.

I'd have one if all my other wish list items were in hand. The uniqueness of it is kind of appealling to me.

There's several lon GB, a blk rhino w/5" bbl is listed buy now $999

For me, handguns are more than just tools...they have to have some aesthetic appeal as well.
Yes, I admire classic Smiths, but if for some reason I had to carry a revolver as a tool, I'd pick a Rhino in a heartbeat.

Sure is ugly I would take one if it felt good and shot good but then again I owned a Pontiac Aztek also one ugly truck but rode good and did what it was supose to do I liked it.
Gee, if you owned an Aztec you surely can't expect anyone to take your post seriously, as you have demonstrated a poor track record. :D

My choice for a carry revolver would be a Ruger LCR. If it wasn't for carry, but general HD, I'd choose a Ruger GP100 with a 3" barrel.

I have shot one, a guy at the range had one a few weeks ago and offered me a go at it. Well it's different for sure, with practice I guess it would be OK, but it's so UGLY!

An interesting gun, but I don't usually buy a gun until our own Paladin has written about it.

I withdraw any negatives I may have said about the Rhino. Saw one up close in the LGS today. It is a very cool, unique gun. Appears to be well made. Nice wood grip, fit and finish very good The sights are excellent (nice adjustable) the cocking hammer is nice . seems to put it in a single action trigger mode without turning cylinder. The more I held the more I liked it.

I guess the proof is in the shooting, with that lower bore axis.

Pricy item however.

The Rhino is interesting conceptually, and very Blade Runner aesthetically. It's been said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder ... personally, I think Ruger revolvers and Glocks are as ugly as they come, and would never own one based strictly on looks. The Rhino? I'd shoot one, and if it performed well, I'd have no problem owning one. But for ~$1K, there's other firearms that are on higher on my Wish List.

And if I recall the 22 LR mentioned above is not made by them, It is just another GSG product that goes under several names including Sig.

That is incorrect, the Sig 1911 .22 is indeed made for them by GSG, however the Chiappa .22 is it's own design, they are not the same pistol.
