Seems that Iran is now launching a missile attack on Doha, Qatar. Presumably fired at US installations there.
And the war is on.

You had to know something/s were going to happen. At the very minimum a response, the question is just how strong. You got to consider this more of a game of Chess.
Guess the mullahs were really frightened by the B-2s and the stern warning.
When you start a war, you'd best have a plan to finish it.

I dont want anyone to think I am making light of this situation. While I'm blessed in that I do not have to display a Gold Star, I did spend two long horrible years while my son was put back together after his stint in the Marine Corps...so I get it. With that said, I'm really not worried about what the barbaric mullahs can do to us now. They are severely diminished; the Shah's eldest son is "working the room" and it wouldn't shock me to see his return to Iran in the very near future.
Edit to add - I'm more concerned about the hundreds of Iranians that walked across our southern border than I am the mullahs lobbing missiles.

We need to " Arc Light "them with 20 or so flights along their coast.
Tehran getting lit up. 
Stock Market appears to welcome the news. My 401k is happy.
Iran had to do something, doubtful that much will hit the base in Qatar or others for that matter. The base in Qatar is shared with the Qatar Air Force, Iran is not likely to try to do much damage there.

Appears no significant damage resulted in Qatar. Seems to have been more of an Iranian symbolic face-saving exercise.

So far seven of 14 postings here seem to be of a very light hearted tone.
Symbolic, or all they have left? I'm thinking all they have left, but I get your point. Israelis are creaming them now as I type, Saudis have predictably come out in condemnation of Iran.
I think symbolic. They are afraid to strike us with any force. All their rockets were intercepted……. HOWEVER this does not mean these scourges on the earth won't resort to terrorist acts. COWARDS.

The surprising thing about this is today's big drop in crude oil price. Apparently the Big Oil traders believe that Iran is down and out for the time being. I imagine the Chinese have by now made it abundantly clear to the Iranian Mullah that they will not tolerate Iranian mining of the Strait of Hormuz. And are possibly ready to throw in the towel about U enrichment and future nuke development.
The Israeli AF has closed off all land routes into the bombed area, denying Iranians entry. Big question is did the Iranians move out the enriched U before the attack, and if so, to where.

Let's hope the (hopefully ineffective) strike on our base in Qatar satisfies their domestic need to do something to us in retaliation, and they will be wise enough to cease and desist.
For decades, the Iraqis, part Sunn'i and part Shi'a, kept the two warring factions apart. Now they're eyeball to eyeball; we're in the middle now that we dropped some bombs.
Virtually all Middle East countries are condemning Iran. Condemnation of the US is coming from US Universities and other predictable domestic sources....and of course, the soviets...I mean russians.
We have to be prepared for what our enemy is capable of doing, not preparing for what we think he will do. It is a mistake often repeated. War is never anything to joke about. Old Edwin Starr told us that it is only good for the undertaker.
could be a few deceased one's might send a message that would be heeded.......

The sleeper cells within the USA might not be acting because if they do the current regime might be either powerless or out of power and dead. Not much incentive to act when your movement is completely kaput.

That is not true. Specifically, we bombed their nuclear sites because Israel couldn't destroy them and asked us to do it for them. Absent the Israeli request we would not have sent in our bombers.
Although I agree with what you are saying, I do not think it is an established fact that we would not have proceeded without an Israeli request. Iran has been insufferable since they got away with taking our Embassy all those years ago. They are a world terror leader and they could no more be trusted with a nuclear bomb than a 3 year old with a hand grenade.
