State Senator Audrey Gibson of Florida filed a bill last Friday that would require a person to pass/attend an anger management course prior to buying ammo. Many are outraged and surprised but I have thought for some time that that would be the way the government would do away with our rights under the second ammednment. Forget the guns, make the ammo hard or impossible to obtain. Anti gunners know that collecting the more than 200 million firearms in the hands of citizens would be nearly impossible and obscenely expensive. Just turn them into boat anchors by drying up the ammo supply. I have for some time wondered if the current ammo shortage isn't somehow orchestrated by our government. I recently heard that the office of home land security has been placing unprecedentedly huge ammo orders for a number of years even before the current administration. We are talking annual orders of hundreds of millions of rounds of .223, .38 spec, 9mm, 40 S&W, .357 mag, and .45 auto under the guise of training rounds for agents service weapons but that doesn't explain the .22lr ammo they are "stockpiling". My brother tells me that his police department have been having deficulty getting ammo in .223/5.56, and 9mm for sometime and have been told that ammo was short due to the demands of the military. Is this all just an attempt to dry up the supply and divert the ammo to the agency that will eventually be our overseers? Is this plausable or am I just nuts?

Any of Y'all remember when Nader...Ralph Nader tried to pull than jest ban ammo scheme?

.
It's The Long Road Thus Traveled...That Has't Brought Me Here

People like her make me so angry that now I need to take an anger management course. I need to learn how to focus my anger directly at them!

Oh yes! But that was a direct assault on ammunition. By using tax payers money to buy huge quantities of ammo you tie up the manufacturers making ammo for the government. Hey, Remington, Winchester, Federal, CCI and other american manufacturers are smoking the presses to turn out ammo so they are happy but the american public only gets the overrun volume. Add to that the public buying hysteria and the shelves stay empty for most gun owners who don't even know there is a shortage until they decide to go out and shoot a few rounds just to stay familiar with their gun(s).

FL Bill would requre "Anger Management"

“Florida bill would require anger management courses for bullet buyers.” –according to Fox News.

Will the bill pass? Hard to believe that it would, but something to watch out for.

If passed, this Bill would requires anyone wanting to purchase ammo to take an anger management course and show proof of it prior to purchase and then take that course again every 10 years. The proposed course is to be 2hrs online or face-to-face instruction. According to Fox, the Bill would also require a 3-day waiting period for the sale of any gun (not currently a requirement in FL).

Justification for this Bill?
“This is not about guns," Gibson said. "This is about ammunition and not only for the safety of the general community, but also for the safety of law enforcement.” (Gibson is the FL State Senator from Jacksonville, FL. who authored the Bill.)

So now you are an angry person if you are an ammo buyer.
I would need Anger Management training the first time i was
approached with this stupid idea at a checkout counter.
What will these "mentally challenged" persons think of next ?
What ever happened to common sense?
God help us all...

Defense contracts make the big G your #1 priority.... using our own tax $$s against us.

This is just another example of using our money against us. Promises of "free" health insurance, "free" obama phones, and a host of other deadbeat entitlement schemes are used by politicians to buy votes so they can force our country down the toilet, er, I mean make us all equal (equally in the gutter).

This requirement for anger mgmt. isn't all that different from those here - and they are all too common - that propose that mandatory training be implemented before someone can buy or carry a gun.

Two sides of the same coin: Back door gun control.

And a pox be upon those so-called gun owners that support either one of them!

I guess she doesn't live in poor community around Jacksonville, where violence is rampant, she should make a good example by living in such place without owning a gun!!!!
