State Senator Audrey Gibson of Florida filed a bill last Friday that would require a person to pass/attend an anger management course prior to buying ammo. Many are outraged and surprised but I have thought for some time that that would be the way the government would do away with our rights under the second ammednment. Forget the guns, make the ammo hard or impossible to obtain. Anti gunners know that collecting the more than 200 million firearms in the hands of citizens would be nearly impossible and obscenely expensive. Just turn them into boat anchors by drying up the ammo supply. I have for some time wondered if the current ammo shortage isn't somehow orchestrated by our government. I recently heard that the office of home land security has been placing unprecedentedly huge ammo orders for a number of years even before the current administration. We are talking annual orders of hundreds of millions of rounds of .223, .38 spec, 9mm, 40 S&W, .357 mag, and .45 auto under the guise of training rounds for agents service weapons but that doesn't explain the .22lr ammo they are "stockpiling". My brother tells me that his police department have been having deficulty getting ammo in .223/5.56, and 9mm for sometime and have been told that ammo was short due to the demands of the military. Is this all just an attempt to dry up the supply and divert the ammo to the agency that will eventually be our overseers? Is this plausable or am I just nuts?
