Annoying Hollywood gun errors

In the Dirty Harry video Kavinsky linked, you reckon Harry changed holsters during the lunch break, or someone just told him how to wear it? When you first see him, as he is putting up the target, there are three straps across his back, up to 0:56, when he picks up the Automag and faces the target. Then, at 1:06, when the black guy gets closer, you can see his back again, and there is just the two straps of a Bianchi X1500. Not a Lawman, I see, in this one.

well looking at the first holster it looks like it was going right up into his sholder at an uncomforabile angle via his arm pit. So he might have headed to town and found one that fit him better for the next day of shooting.

hell maybe this was the first scene of the film they shot hence the holster change. after all this was the first dirty harry film in about 5 years at that point so its entirely possibile that they did that.

plus they used a DIFFERENT .44 mag for the last two films, a post 1980 model with a 6 inch barrel. Not his 6 1/2 with the Cokes that he used in the first 3 films and thus it might have required a new holster.

actually its kind of funny I have a transitional model 29 myself, pinned barrel and the 6 inch barrel of the latter guns like his and honestly it feels like it was made for me

no cokes sadly but the packs do a hell of a job imitating them.

Gotta love Hollywood:

Dead silence in the forest and I'm to believe that a car cannot be heard approaching and stopping 50 yards away?

44 Automag rapid fire one handed with car killer rounds??

No ear protection anywhere to be found???

he probably knew horrace was coming and thus was playing him up plus that guy played the robber and a shifty bad guy in the earlier films so it was probably half playing him up and half the audience.

and well we are talking about a semi auto rotating bolt pistol.

Not a revolver which would mean it would have a straight pushback recoil to it

not unlike a .44 desert eagle which in the hands of someone over 5 "10 wouldnt seem to have alot of recoil

and supposedly hickock is about 6 foot or so

and also they usually use flesh colored ear plugs for movie shoots which are kind of hard to pick up on. Especally for old movies.

and it doesnt take much to make an armor pericing round anyways, it just means they use a steel core for the bullet or take out that stuff that makes the lead softer. so They dont hop up the actual cartridge they usually just use a different bullet.

hell I think the only two advantages the AMT had were 8 rounds and 50 extra grains and even then it kept jamming on him during the film hence why it didnt show up in the dead pool.
