I donate as often and as much as I can to N R A and other 2 A advocates.
I want to add to the list, (my own state has several), but I don't wish to add to the already multiple solicitations.

Credit / debit cards are not suitable, as well as personal checks.
Heck, they have a "pipeline" to your private information, and just lead to more "letters & phone calls of need". (Not all in favor of firearm ownership. )

I was thinking of USPS money order, but without filling in the "from" portion, or maybe even a John Doe name and address. I have no interest in letters of thanks.
Wondering if there is anything illegal about that method ?

If you wonder why I ask a "postal" question on a gun forum; perhaps you haven't ever tried to get a postal rule clarified at the actual post office.

While the question is up; does our S&W forum have channels for 2 A donations to organizations ?

Thanks

Several years ago, having the same problem I asked a fellow church member who is a banker if I could set up a special account for this purpose.

We came up with a checking account labeled simply "TLW Account" No home address or phone number. (my signature is illegible anyway).

Worked out pretty well...

PS. TLW = "The Lord's work"

I informed the NRA in writing several years ago that I wanted to be removed from any solicitation lists, and haven't gotten a solicitation from them since. My spouse, also a member, does still get them, as she did not make the request.
