Found this nice 2.5" 66-2 shooter on Armslist. Overall in good shape and mechanically sound - the usual wear and tear with a small amount of pitting on the side plate, minimal flame cutting and side plate screws aren't boogered. Came with the Bianchi holster and 50 rds of ammo for $500. Have a few so I wasn't in need or want, but for the price I couldn't look the other way. She should clean up real nice...

Congratulations on finding a nice 66!!

That's a beautiful 66!! Snub .357's are both beautiful and versatile. Congrats on your new piece! Here's a pic of my 66 and 19 snubs.

$500 bucks! You stole it, I keep my eyes out for one and will snatch it up when I come across one.

I would have done it too! Congratulations to you. My 66-2 came to me early last year at a gun show. Was marked $795, but got it $725 OTD. Certainly no deal, but I like it. Nothing extra came with mine. Bob

Very nice. What year was it made OP? I notice -2, no pinned barrel and no recessed chambers?

This is my Dad's bedside gun:

Man, I'm jonesing for one, had a guy try to sell me one at about that price, and pics looked great, but the only feedback he had was on Pinterest, and he was in FL...Oh well.

Pitting? That's nothing. Had one of my detectives leave his Dept issue SW S/S revolver in his vehicle during a South Florida hurricane for 2 weeks. What a mess. Instead of writing him up, I took it home, disassembled it, and cleaned it. Enjoyed the challange. Your piece looks cherry. Nice grab. Enjoy it.
