Picked this one up today $300 out the door from a local pawn guy I deal with. SN C363220.

You probably need it more than you know. It looks like it is on its way to being a car gun. :D

No, He was asking $350. I asked him what he could do on the number because I needed this like a hole in the head. When he said $300, the decision was an easy one. I didn't NEED one, but didn't have one.

I would have made that decision, too.

One thing, though, I'd not known NEED was part of the equation.

I think you will love it. I bought a really nice 10-5 two or three years ago, same price you paid, I didn't "need" it either, Loaded it up with some of my 148 gr DEWC reloads using 2.8grs of Bullseye, MAN! what a hoot. It is like a laser.

Now I see you are in Pa. I lived here all my life and have never seen a Pawn Shop. Am I just that much of a bumpkin? I live in York county (Dutchman) and travel the center of the state quite a bit, nver seen a Pawn Shop. It's not fair. I want some of these deals I hear about.

It's a sign of the times that we are willing or even eager to pay $300 for a basic M&P... the demand is strong and the supply is definitely finite. Folks who complain that interest in revolvers is shrinking just are out of touch with the market, the cream continues to rise!

Depends where you live. I have been trying to sell my M&P and the very few people that respond to my ad want me to go $175. :/

Pawn shops in PA

That is a beauty! Somebody must've really needed some cash to pawn that! To RalphK22, there are several pawn shops around Pgh. I live in the city but never really looked in them. 2 or 3 on E. Ohio St. alone! Used to be one in Rochester. But that gun is nicer than my 10-8, which I bought used in '98! Good find. Jeff T., Pgh, PA

Yeah, a car gun. When I got a nice 1948 pre M10 several months back, it went right into a nice gun rug and into my glove box between the seats. It was the one I paid $200 for with Sambar Stag grips. Grips were worth the price of the gun. I just had so many M10ish guns, it had to go into the truck. Of course, the grips came off on to another gun. This one wound up wearing period diamond magnas. Got pictures both ways.

There is a pawn shop in Duquesne near Kennywood that gets some nice guns in and the other one I go to is Fat Pockets Pawn on Rte 30 in East McKeesport. Both are run by decent guys and have good pieces from time to time. I don't mind sharing, 'cause I can't buy all of 'em.
