Another Camper Question

I put new tires on the old deer camper (205/75 15) and pulled it the 85 miles home. I looked high and low for the manufacturer name on it. No luck. I thought if I posted a picture or two, someone will recognize the brand. There is a symbol by the door in the shape of an award type ribbon, but the part with the name is broken off. It says manufactured in Elkhart Indiana, but it seems almost all of the old campers were. The distinguishing characteristic is the lack of wheel well opening.

It should be listed on the title. Elkhart and the surrounding area were and remain the home for many campers, but over the past 40 years, many brands have come and gone. Some have been gobbled up by other brands and others just died out. Yours looks like an old Shasta, but don't take my word on it because my memory has been misfiring a lot.

As a side note, we had two large 5th wheel Montana trailers and toured the Keystone (Montana's parent company) four times. One of their selling points is the use of Amish/Mennonite workers. We used to laugh at the thought of an Amish working on the electrical part of the trailers.

All I got was a bill of sale, the DMV said that was all I needed to tag it, because of the age. The previous owner had it listed as a 1969 Shasta but I haven't seen one like this on all of the google searches I've done.

Looks like an old Shasta anyway - I work in the RV industry so I see 'em all!

You have your answer right there. If that is what the DMV registered it as, that is what it is. IT HASTA TO BE A SHASTA! ....... Sorry, I couldn't stop myself ...........

Shasta's had little wings on the rear each side about where that high window toward to the rear is located (upper bunk window?)
I don't see where they were removed or ever mounted ....I am going to throw out two names ...Mallard and Coachman ...who copied a lot of Shasta's ideas ..inside the tongue rails,or on inside of the front first cross member possibly will be a metal tag affixed to the rails or front outside of the side frame rails ...many lesser builders use metalized sticky backed stickers applied to those above mentioned areas ....later years some times had manufacturer info inside cabinets and/or cabinet doors

I think youre on the right track with Coaachman

the two distinguishing Features i see

A. the tilt forward of the front wall
B. the "Bustle" of the rear storage compartment
