RIP Sir Patrick Moore at 89, the perfect eccentric genius who brought astronomy to the common man via his TV show The Sky at Night for 50 years in the UK. He was also a talented musician, composer and outspoken critic of the European Union. He even lied about his age to join the RAF in WWII. Amongst his musical friends he counted Albert Einstein (violin) and Queen guitarist Brian May. I truly mourn his passing.
