Another example of typical anti-gun thinking...

The local ABC affiliate in Baltimore reported on Sunday that a number of Maryland legislators are preparing tough gun control bills they will introduce when the General Assembly begins its 90-day session in a couple of weeks. (Keep in mind, Maryland already has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.)

One of those legislators, Senator Lisa Gladden from Baltimore, said this in a televised interview...

"An automatic or semi-automatic weapon doesn't work for hunters and for all of those who are shooting animals for the purposes of food because it tears up the flesh."

Local politicians call the NRA's response "stupid."

If this weren't so serious a matter, such rank ignorance would be laughable. :(

I think its more of they are against everything the NRA represents. If they had come up with the idea of arm officers in school themselves, their constituents would laud the idea. But they didn't so they have to make some argument against it. Personally, I would rather have an arm officer patrolling a school than taking a chance another mentally ill person getting a hold of one of the millions of 'assault rifles' already out there.

I know the restrictive gun laws in MD don't work. I live in WV but I work in MD and I know several people who own guns illegally in MD because it's such a pain in the behind to jump through all the hoops to obtain a firearm legally. Forget about getting a ccw. There are inner city youth that can get whatever they want. These gun control people are out of touch with reality and think they can make everything, "Rainbows and Butterflies," by creating more helpless victims by taking guns away from law abiding citizens. They should be plopped down in the middle of downtown Baltimore at night and shown how well gun control works.

Typical Traitor, they not only do not understand the Constitution, apparently, they've never read it.

The second amendment says nothing about hunting.

I was a firefighter in Baltimore for 30 years, and spent most of that time in very busy inner-city stations.

I saw more people shot over the years than I can remember. In most of those shootings, the difference between assailant and victim was determined by who was quickest on the draw.

There are stone-cold sociopathic killers on the streets of every major city in this country, and they don't care what gun-control laws are passed. They will do what they want to do.

Expecting a murderer to obey gun laws is like expecting a bank robber to pay the parking meter where he left his getaway car.

Politicians are pretty much out of touch with just about everything. I want their personal body guards to be the first to be disarmed. Then I want a sign posted on their front lawn stating their home is a gun free zone.
