The local ABC affiliate in Baltimore reported on Sunday that a number of Maryland legislators are preparing tough gun control bills they will introduce when the General Assembly begins its 90-day session in a couple of weeks. (Keep in mind, Maryland already has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.)
One of those legislators, Senator Lisa Gladden from Baltimore, said this in a televised interview...
"An automatic or semi-automatic weapon doesn't work for hunters and for all of those who are shooting animals for the purposes of food because it tears up the flesh."
Local politicians call the NRA's response "stupid."
If this weren't so serious a matter, such rank ignorance would be laughable.
