Another Grip ID

Picked these grips up awhile back. Have guys trying to deal them off me and need to know maker. Have had many tell me exactly who made them. Trouble is I don’t think they know anymore than
I do about aftermarket grips, which is very little. I can read but there is no markings on these grips. Anyone know what they are for sure?

I have no idea but hopefully someone has the answer. I have seen the cut out on the front strap for adjusting the strain screw. That is a bad idea. Was the cut out done by the maker, or a later modification? It looks like it is original to those stocks.

Look like Herrett's to me. But I seriously doubt Steve cut that notch for the strain screw. And I agree with my retired Warrant Officer friend: there is no reason in the world to provide access to that screw. It should always be kept tight. It is NOT a trigger pull adjustment screw. Good grief.

I agree those are early Herrett’s.

It’s look like wood around the cut-out broke away. It’s really thin at that spot and susceptible to damage. That was done to allow changing the grip angle and/or reduce the bulk, not to access to the strain screw.

These grips were made with the window for toe of grip frame. These are same grips as Chads, so Herretts. Case Closed. These are Ns and feel much better than S&W Targets for me, got small hands. I was buying up some aftermarket wood grips when I got these.
