First "big" Massachusetts gun show of the new year (and post-EA) is happening this weekend. It was very, very busy on Saturday. Vendor tables were maxed out and you could barely move around until late afternoon. :)

3rd Gen-wise, there were a lot of "repeats" from past shows; however, the one gun that I was most interested in... a very nice Model 909 w/extra magazine... had sold sometime between shows. :( Dang!

3rd Gen gun of the show was that customized Model 1006 for $850 that we've been discussing in this thread. I thought it had sold at one point... but then I found out it was still there when I left the show mid-afternoon. :)

What interested me most was a very nice transitional Model 4690, supposedly unfired, which had been reduced in price from previous shows down to $600. :) If I weren't so far in debt from last year's purchases, and assuming the good wife's approval, I would have bought it. :D

There was also a very clean Model CS45 (one magazine, no box) tagged at $600. Way too much for me even on a good day. :( Same dealer had a Model 4006TSW in excellent condition for $650 tagged price... but again, too rich for me. :o

There were two Model 4516's (original "no dash" versions)... one of which was almost reasonably priced. ;) There was a repeat visit of a Model 4516-1, but it was way over-priced. :o

That rust spotted Model 915 from past shows was still around (at $399 tagged price)... and it was still rusty. :( Another repeat visitor was an over-priced Model 457 reverse-two-tone... still way over-priced. Yet another repeat visitor was a reasonably nice Model 411 (without any rust spots!), but I have more than enough .40's for now. :p

Sold since one of the recent shows was the Model 3913NL originally tagged at $600.00. I was almost at a point where I was ready to see if the dealer was willing to bargain on it a little... but now I have to move it to the "sold" list.

In short, there weren't a lot of "mainstream" 3rd Gens this time around and none at any sort of bargain or even attractive prices. :o More than ever, plastic seems to be "in" and 3rd Gens are in short supply and relatively high-priced. While other members of Team 3rd Gen are reporting a good number of bargains here and there, I can't report the same from here behind enemy lines in moonbat Massachusetts. :)

I probably bumped into you.

Same show, same dealer as the 1006.......640.00 OTD.

Check Culverine firearms....I think he has a few 3rd gens for you.
Everybody "bumped" into everybody on Saturday. :D It was that kind of (crazy overcrowded) show. ;)

Thanks for the tip on 3rd Gens. :) And congratulations on the sweet score! :D

Normally, I only report on my beloved 3rd Gens and similar semi-autos of interest to Team 3rd Gen... however, I am watching a few slightly used "pre-IL" S&W revolvers very closely. :D The good wife shocked me when she got me one for Christmas that I had long had my eye on in a local shop. I was totally blown away by her gift. :p It was something that I'd have never bought for myself just due to cost alone. ;) Guess I found a pretty good wife, wouldn't you say? :D

ABSOLUTELY......a keeper.....not that K22 ?

I forgot to add...

They were handing out Cabela's discount coupons at the show... $20 off on your next in-store purchase of $150 or more. The coupons expire on April 9, 2016 and are good at any Cabela's store. They gave me a few extras beyond what I can use... so if any member of Team 3rd Gen can and will use one, PM me and I'll mail you one. :D First come first served, of course. I'll remove this post when they are all gone. :)

Oh, I've had my eye on many K22's! :D But the one she got me was an early-60's vintage Model 10-5 in near "like new" condition... something I'd always wanted but never got around to buying (there's a long story there for some other time). :)

And of course... human nature... now I want another one. :p You might have seen the Model 10-5 at the show from that dealer in Sutton, MA. Mine is nicer but his isn't too shabby either. It would be kinda cool to have a matched pair. :D

That's a beauty... you got that from Mike? I was in the shop wed when he was packin up... he must have had that one hiding... otherwise it may not have made it to the show..

I Did.....He said it and 5 other guns came in just before the show.
I know he didn't even have time to swap the grips out.

Sounds like you have a good supply of 3rd Gens to me.
At the gun shows here in Michigan you can count them on one hand and have fingers left over.[emoji20]
Where's a addict like me supposed to get a fix if not at the gun show.[emoji25]

Everything is relative I guess. :) While I am pretty well set with the more common models, I'd still like to bump into more of them at the shows. :D

And it's funny how they tend to appear in spurts. The key is to be in a good financial position to take advantage of those spurts when they appear. :) Unfortunately, right now I'm not in the very best financial condition, but this too shall pass. :o

But one more $50 price drop and I think I'll try to move on that "as-new" (and supposedly unfired) transitional Model 4690. :D Stay tuned! ;)

There is another (smaller) show next weekend. Very uncommon for Massachusetts to have them stacked together so closely... and it's fairly close to where I live too. I should be working the show instead of attending it... :D ... but one way or another I'll be there for sure. :p

Yes I agree, you need to be in the right place at the right time and have the $$.
I have seen a few at a fair price just nothing that I had to have.
