What are you carrying today?

⬅️ went Tango Uniform when the optics plate shot loose half way through a competitive match so I carried on with a MCP35 PI OP ⬇️ which is a alternate carry gun and it'll be my daily until my SW is repaired.

Tonight out for dinner with the wife, my Colt Pocketlite .380. It's running Buffalo Bore's 95gr +P JHP (+/- 1100 fps), all tucked up close with a cross-draw holster. On the Harley, a Kimber Ultra Carry II running HST's 230gr +P JHP, carried with an Azula leather pancake holster.pocetlite screws.webpKimber Ultra Carry II.webp

"I wish I had carried an LCR with a 5 round capacity today instead of a full size semi automatic service caliber pistol" said no one engaged in self defense against one or more armed assailants ever.

Since I'm going to the doctor today, rather than carry a full sized pistol, I'll need to pocket carry my M&P 9c loaded with 13 rounds of 147 grain Federal HST and a 12 round reload.

If I was expecting a war, rather than go out, I'd stay at home behind my locked my front door.
I'm in Canada and am going to the doctor today to live. So I'm getting my heart taken care of which statistically is what will kill me at 62 not some fictitious gun fight because of what I did or didn't choose to carry on that trip. How many friends have you lost to civilian gun fire versus heart attack/stroke events? Look I'm a pistol enthusiast as much as the next guy. I own 14 pistols, shoot PPC competitively and smith them all. I just don't see the health benefits of carrying a gun in public.

A model 65 3" with an extra speed loader as the temperature is in the fifties today with rain and I am wearing a light jacket. It is my late fall and winter EDC.

Today is first cold day of the year. I'm sitting in my living room wearing sweats and it is highly possible that I won't be putting on any street clothes today.

If I do though I will be wearing one of those even out here in the wide open spaces.

I don't carry a gun for fun. I've talked about this before. I walked out the front door of my apartment building and before I could walk to 30 ft to my car two guys came around the corner of the building and tried to rob me.

When they walked around the corner of the building I was putting things in the passenger seat of my car and they couldn't see that I was in uniform (G4S) and had a duty belt on. As soon as they started the interview process I shut the door, they realized I was armed and they walked away.

I took that incident as a learning experience and I never walked out my front door without a gun again.

At the moment a 642 in a DeSantis ankle rig. If not that, Shield .45 which just made me recall a S&W 457 I had once, traded for something I don't even remember. Wish I had that 457 again, even if it did wear like a 5lb brick. 😆
