Another hand needed

With the K hand search solved I'm now looking for the same thickness (more or less) in an L hand, specifically a 686-4. Similar problem revolver. Anyone have a non-floating hand approaching .097-.099 for a L frame.

I noticed today that Midway has some "oversized" OEM hands available. Factory oversized hands usually run in the size range you specified. This might be an viable alternative, if you are unable to find the size you need here on the forum.

Thanks Armorer, just ordered it but I don't have high hopes. In my search for the K frame hand I measured about a dozen "oversized" hands from S&W and the fattest one I found was .0955 and I really need at least .098 or I start studying techniques to reduce the size of the hand window. Do you have any idea of how much play you can really get away with on the hand/window interface? My understanding is .001-.002 is about it.

I belive you are correct about the hand window. Is there excessive gauge in the window itself?

Yes, the window is measuring .100-.101.

Could a Power Custom oversize hand be fit? If so, it might be wide enough to take up the extra gauge in the window. I think they are .100" or slightly above.

They are .102 and will be my last resort if nothing else works.
