Problems with ever compact M&P I have bought. Now, my M&P full size 40. After a 50 round shooting session I started to break it down for cleaning and found the strong side (right handed) was broken off even with the edge of the slide. The pistol is still operable but I need 100% functionality. I don't want to send the gun back to S&W, it is my carry weapon. Anyone know who I contact to get them to send me a replacement slide release? I can install it myself.
Another M&P problem.

Can you post a pic? I'm not sure I'm following you. Did the slide stop break? Was it the whole bar or just the part external to the frame? Was it this part?

That'd be my first place to start too. A do it yourself job might need a part number. Other wise they'll more than likely want it sent in to them.

Just a question, do you use that side to release the slide or do you slingshot the slide?
