It looks like a solid design to me. I use moon clips, own 70 of them. I have destroyed 3 of the California Competition Works plastic pliers-type demooners and one of their remooners. Currently using a twist type demooner and have been super-gluing the remooner. I've mooned and demooned about 20K 45ACP's in the last few years, so probably have exceeded the design specs for the plastic tools, particularly the demooner.
Anyway, 45 Auto Rim is fine for some. Not an option for pistol games. The whole point of these guns is the super fast reload afforded by moon clips. It is a hoot to beat guys and their custom 1911's with a stock 625-3.
Back to the topic at hand, the Moon Clip Tool seems like a good option. As shown in the video, it seems faster than a Moon Setter. Price is similar to other tools, but the mandrels for different types (8 shot 357) are cheaper.
