It 2017 (part I) and It part II Based on the novel by Steven King

Well, I should start this out by saying that this is NOT a movie for the squeamish. I'll elaborate a little later

Part I I think was not quite as good at the original movie when the characters were kids. But the new version is still very good. Part II when the characters are grown ups, Blows the original movie away, BIG TIME. This of course depends on your tolerance for the gross and violent horror movies. Me, I love it rough but this thing had me holding my breath. I don't recommend watching it right before going to bed. I had to read for about an hour before I turned out my light.

The production design, filming, action, quality of the monsters was top notch. The humor, tension, drama woven intermittently was done just right.

It has always seemed to me that horror movies lack that special quality reserved for mainstream movies. Not for this one. The sets and special effects were as good as it gets. This is easily the best horror film I've ever seen. What ever is in 2nd place isn't even close.

if you like the genre then I'd say take a look, if you don't then I'd say let it go.

Clowns with big sharp teeth are just scary especially for the faint of heart.

I had a tough time with The Ghost and Mr Chicken as a 5 year old. I'll pass.

No horror movies for me! (I find real life plenty scary enough without going out of my way and paying to get the bejabbers scared out of me.)
