I got my M&P 40C a couple of weeks ago after selling my Glock 27. I'm much happier with the Smith. I found this forum and introduced myself in a previous post. Since that time I've found there's a lot of friendly people in here with a wealth of experience and knowledge that'll be useful I'm sure.
Well, today my wife and I went looking for a personal protection handgun for her. Even though she's got experience with both the 9mm and .40S&W, I thought she'd want something small and ultralight like a .380 from Taurus or Ruger. To my surprise she complained about how small they were and was shown a Taurus 9mm compact which she really liked. That got us looking at the Glock 26 and the S&W M&P 9C as well as a pre-owned Kahr PM9 (one of which I already have and absolutely love, carrying it as my backup and one of my off-duty weapons). After comparing all four and with no prodding from me, she decided the best choice for her was the Smith. Now we're a two Smith family.
