My name is Jeff and I live in NJ. I've been shooting for about a year and just purchased my first S&W product, an M&P .22 compact. I literally came home with it last night and am going to attempt to get to the range tomorrow.
My first pistol is a Sig P226 that shot great right out of the box. I cleaned/lubed it after the first use and then after about every 500 rounds. My question is whether or not the 22 compact needs to be cleaned/lubed BEFORE I take it out for the first time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I hope I can add something to the forums. If anyone is interested in Wine I would love to answer questions. I spent some time as an importer and may have a tip or two.
