First I bought a 1911 E last year.
I loved the Smith & Wesson product so much I bought a 637.
But than wanted a big(er) Smith. I thought I wanted a model 60 3" but a couple weeks ago at the LGS I held a M60 (that had just been sold to another person), then picked up the 686 plus 4", and the 686 followed me home. I love that gun.
But now I have this gap between the 1.8" 637 and the 4" 686.
today I walked in the same LGS and he had another M60 with 3" barrel, and it followed me home.
I just had to take advantage of that rebate on the J frames :).

I like shinny stuff (well the 637 sort of shines)

And my shooting buddy just bought a 642 for his Girl, but now he sees the no lock version are out there and with this rebate I bet he will by another one for himself :).
this must be a sickness and its very contagious.

But I have not started buying collectors yet, still every day shooters.

Looking good, Will!
I am the same way, always out to find something to fill the gaps.

Even though the model 60 if a J frame the weight of being all steel sure makes a difference over shooting the 637, even for normal 38 Special loads. Today out of 200 rounds, I shot the 637 about 10 times and put it back in the bag and stuck with the 686 and 60:)
I loaded up another 200 rounds tonight but made 50 that were a little softer load for the 637 to see how they felt. Not saying I am a wimp, its just not a gun you would take to the range and shoot a couple boxes thorough if you had a gun with more weight to shoot instead. But the lighter guns sure fit nice in your pocket.

Now you need a 627PC in five-inch persuasion to balance the wheelguns in the pic.

You didn't expect "Quit now, before you spend too much money!", did you?

Sort of like you, I am wanting to get something to round out my revolvers barrel lengths but I need something shorter even, something like the 1.8" Smith you started with. Id like to get a small-er J frame either a 38spl+p or a 357. I always seem to find 4"+ guns more readily.

Great looking find on the 3" 60. Hope you enjoy.
