Another one waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge

Great story Iggy. It's sure something how much we'll do for them and they ask so little from us.They return that many times over.
Dogs are truly a gift from God.Spell god backwards and see.

Had to put my sheltie down just before Christmas, the day after her 12th birthday. Sad day indeed. I still miss her. Thinking about another.......... It would be #4.

I love Shelties. They are such and intelligent and loving dog.

I've had or should I say three of them have had me in their spell.

I have run the gamut of different breeds, but Shelties hold a special place in my life.

She's a beautiful dog!

I am very sorry for your loss.

But, when our pets get old, and are suffering, they look to us to take care of them, just as they have always looked to us to provide food, water, and shelter.

I have a cat I just love to bits, but she's getting close to 15, too, and has some health problems.

I am dreading that day, too.

Condolences

Please accept the heartfelt condolences of an animal lover of the 1st order. I bawl like a baby every time I have to accompany one on the last ride. I did not have a dog for over 40 years for that reason. I finally broke down and adopted a full grown Dobie bitch that would lay down her life for me. She was with me for 11 years, old for a Dobie. That was almost 8 years ago and I miss her dearly every day. But, now have 2 Beagles and a Border! Probably will outlive me!

You have our condolences as well. Been through it three times and it is as painful each time.
