At 8:26AM my phone rings. My phone shows my name as the caller and shows my phone number. Out of curiosity, I answer without talking. I hear a recorded female voice telling me she is from Microsoft and some Microsoft product is going to be cancelled. At this point I hang up. I am wondering if other people got phone calls showing me as the caller. It is unbelievable what these clowns can do these days.

Get these all the time. The Microsoft one cancelling your IP is a newer one over the past month or so. Recorded voice, of course.

We get prolly 3 calls a day at a minimum from scammers. I've heard that the ones that have had the land lines for many years are called more than others....we monitor all our calls, and wait for a message left...most don't bother, and the ones that do, are pretty funny...nice try!

Because we don't answer the calls.... we had one come through at 8am...the number was 999-999-9999....LOL.

I was getting a lot of robo calls last year. I had a call last year from some live guy who wanted to know why I had called him. I hadn’t called him. He had my correct number.

DO NOT engage with crazies..........

our phone rings about 15 times each day..........our dedicated answering machine takes care of them.....

I like to screw with them.....l just keep asking them “why are you calling me from Mumbai India?” I keep insisting my phone says Mumbai. If they keep on the line I sometimes say “now I’m getting another message that says ..... you eat monkey sh*t”.

Got one today on my cell. As a contractor I have to answer all calls, because you never know which one is a job. This one looked like a local number on my caller ID. I say "Hello", I hear a lady's recorded voice start out..... "Don't hang up, this is an important call....."

I hung up. Then I blocked the number.

My small business landline is call forwarded to my cell phone, because I’m rarely sitting in the office except early morning to do paperwork. The nature of my business means I often get calls from odd numbers and area codes, so I answer everything. In no particular order, I get robocalls every day about:

Health Insurance
Microsoft
Google Plus Advertising
The IRS
My business listing, whatever that is . . .
Security Alarms
Etc.

The one that makes me the maddest is Google, because they won’t list or accept advertising from businesses like mine due to the high risk nature of the business. I’ve talked to real people several times. They continue to call . . .

"Because of your perfect payment record we are calling to offer you a reduced interest rate, possibly as low as 0%.'
At least three times a week from a number that starts V followed by ten random numbers.

I got a call from myself twice on Tuesday. No message and I wasn't about to answer it. I just might have been on the other line.

I had that happen twice last year. One return caller was smart enough to understand that the real caller had spoofed my phone number. The other return caller had a hard time understanding the concept of phone spoofing. It took several calls, and my promise if he ever called me again I was reporting his actions to the police to get him to stop calling.

I get a call from Apple every now and then, saying they owe me money.

A couple weeks ago some robocaller called me 6 times using my own phone number. Like kennethg said, I don't need a telephone to talk to myself. Ask anybody I used to work with.

There is nothing wrong with talking to yourself.[emoji1]

I mess with them if I have time to kill. I ask if a google was good to eat
and what size shot to use when hunting them. The other I tried to sell
5 ton of rocks I had on my old truck. This was a credit card company
wanting to set me up to process their cards. I told her my rocks were
to be cash on the barrel head and I didn't take any credit cards. Both
of these conversations were in my best good ole boy red neck voice.
And they both hung up on me, that seemed rude.

Get them all the time. Two that have started recently are " Your ICloud (or Apple) account has been compromised". I don't have an account with either. Another relentless one is the "Medicare brace". I just ignore them all.

I also like to talk to them in my Karl Childers voice (sling blade). Where’s my French fried pataters?

When I'm in the mood I like messing with them, in my "Bruno the Magnificent" voice. I tell them "I am Bruno, how are you? What is your name? Did I call you? What is this" what ever they are selling, "I do not understand" etc. They must have only a short time to make their quota, because they hang up. TOO STUPID to stop wasting their time, you'd think the computer would figure it out.

I got nine in one day all from the same number saying not to do any banking or financial transactions online until I called them and let them straighten out a security problem with a firewall being penetrated..

I hate these low life scum balls.
