Just typed a lengthy response to a thread, checked to make sure I spelled everything correctly and the whole thing made sense. Then I forgot to hit post and lost the whole thing. I've learned some things about old age. Three things happen as you grow older. First you lose your memory.......and I forget what the other two are. I believe the technical term for the problem is CRS.

Yesterday I actually forgot the combination to my gun safe!!!
I am getting concerned , is it starting to go ????

I did that too - Never a problem again though :)
Once I remembered to ask my 12 year old son what the combo was I took my main gun-smithy tool (Dremel Deluxe) and engraved the combo right on the front of the safe.
Problem solved!

Not long ago I stopped at the bank to use the ATM and when I went to put in my pin, I drew a total blank, I called my wife and as soon as she answered the phone it came to me.

I've done this, and found a way to recover the typed post. When you realize what you've done, hit the page forward (or back) arrow on your browser, unless you've closed your browser session, it will take you back to the page where you typed your response, then you can hit the "submit reply" button and it will post. :D

So now I'm supposed to remember that?

You are not alone. I've suffered from CRS for some time. Maybe I've had it forever, I don't remember. ;)

Krell1, I don't know if this helps but they say that misery loves company,and....you are not alone. (with echos) There are literally hundreds of thousands of word floating around out there in cyberland, from my 17 years on the internet that I typed and then hit a wrong key or my 'puter went down or any of a hundred other things that can happen. Hours and hours, not to mention ideas lost. I try not to let it make me go into a rage. I guess it is good anger management training but one of these days I might just have me a good old fashioned conniption. Aka, hissy-fit.

Been there, done that.

Last time I got the info back by using the History setting on my browser.
