I love these things...I ordered these grips from S&W and although I thought they were pricey they fit perfect and make it an absolute joy to shoot. I've owned dozens of .22 pistols and none have ever shot to the degree of accuracy this old '48 revolv

er is capable of.

There seems to be a fair number of '48 coming on the market of late.
Here's my '48 K22. And a pic with the '48 K38.
The shame is that they only came along after my eyesight went.

1948 seemed to be a banner year for K-22 production. I have two from 1948 and seem to see more 1948 guns than any other. The top two guns in this photo are 1948, the top a single line and the middle a four line. The bottom gun is a K-38.

I picked up my birthyear (1950) K-22 after just missing a 1948 in an OKC pawnshop (by a week!). Then I stumbled on a 1950 K-38, followed by a 1952 K-22. I'm hooked. I still regret not jumping on the 1948 K-22 when I first saw it. Lesson learned!
