Picked this one up at gun show in Medford, Or. two weeks ago. .38 spl., 4 inch, no special markings, sn: 4446xx. Shoots to point of aim, just have to figure out to hold sights. What is the year of maufacture or shipping? The side plate seems to be a tad pitted and the finish looks different than the rest of the revolver. Are the side plates easy to replace if I choose to do so. This one will be my pickup revolver on the ranch, so I guess the finish is not that important.

Just my opinion, but any decent Victory nowadays is a little too historic and valuable to be relegated to "truck gun" duty. But I'd like to see a photo or two to confirm if that's indeed the case.

JP@AK, sorry, the sn does begin with "V". As for pictures, poor internet connection and poor computer skills make it difficult. I will try to get my wife post some later.
