I have an opportunity to buy a couple Anschutz sporter magazines, (.22), but I have a 64 action sporter. Does the 54 and 64 actions both take the same magazine? They sure look the same.
I don't know for sure but if you don't get an answer consider calling Champion's Choice. They are an authorized Anschutz dealer and should be able to answer the question. Champion's Choice
In the 60's and 70's Savage was the importer for Anschuts rifles. Many of my friends used Savage 22 mags in their older Anschuts rifles.
The only 2 Anschuts I have left are an old 2000 single shot and a Weatherby Mark XXII bolt action sporter, those are 64 actions that Weatherby stocked.
I had a mid 60's 54 Prone rifle (single shot) that with Eley Club+ or Team would hit M&M's at 200 pretty consistently! (I had a 36x Leupold target scope to help)
Anschutz 64 and 54 sporters shared the same mags. The earliest one were all metal, then the plastic mag bottom came. One had a humpback, one had a flat bottom. Eventually a plastic follow was used .
Was an opportunity at an on line auction. 7 magazines went for $400. A little rich for me, I would have like a couple of them, but not 7. $ 57 a piece!
