Took posession of a box of old reloading items Friday, many old small diameter Lee turret dies and one turret head (if anyone wants these items let me know, for postage they are yours!), also some very useable dies like a .25-06 & .30-30 neck sizer a set of Pacific .222 and others.
Mixed in where some antique items I haven't seen outside of old Shooters Bibles. All are in great shape after a cleaning, no rust, lotsa grease and dirt.

Here is an old set of Herters 6.5x55 dies with box:

The original 'Single Stage', a Lee loader in .303 Savage, you actually pounded the case in and out with a mallet. I remember my neighbor using one of these 40 years ago:

And to prove that there is nothing new under the Sun, here is an early inertial bullet puller, wood handled, made by the Gunz/Kexplore Corporation:

For the most part these are going in a display case. At one time all this stuff was HiTech, now just an anachronism.

I have and still use a Herters single stage press, powder dropper, case trimmer, and dies from the mid-'70s. Some stuff just doesn't wear out.

If the 30-30 neck sizer is still available, I'll take it.

Thanks.

So as not to make the Moderators angry, please PM with any offers. Small diameter Lee stuff and some others have found a new home but again please PM so as not to cause problems, I didn't mean to put these for sale in this section of the Forum, just posting for info purposes but we can talk off channels.
Thanks,
Russ

You should keep that stuff. Collectors items!!!! Those would make for a great display in your man cave inside some of those shadow boxes used to frame larger items.

I don't want to hijack the thread but what would you use a bullet puller for? Or I should ask why pull the bullet out of a perfectly good round?

Well, I seem to have done it again: inadvertantly gotten myself into a jam.
I origiinally posted this thread for information sake, the comment about 'if anyone is interested in this..' was meant for the small base Lee dies and shell holder.
Somehow this has been misconstrued to indicate I wanted to give all of this stuff away, that is not what I meant.
I don't need most of this stuff, true, but it has ballooned into a potential issue and I've gotten several PM's about these items.

Here is what I'm going to do about it: the Lee Small Base Dies have been promised, along with a couple of other items, as I promised I am going to give these to the original responder for these items for postage.

As far as the other items go I am going to contact each responder with a very fair price for them, if they do not want them at that price I will contact the next responder, etc.
At the end of this process, unwanted items will be listed in the 'For Sale, Accesories' portion of the Forum along with many more items not shown, again at very reasonable prices and this will then follow normal rules.
Because I seem to have caused a problem ( unintentionally ) and don't want any hard feelings, ALL FUNDS GENERATED BY THIS ACTION WILL BE DONATED TO THE FORUM.

That is about the only fair thing to do as I see it. I certainly didn't mean to cause problems, I hope all will understand this.

PLEASE NOTE: I am working out of town this week, travelling around 250 miles a day and working 8 - 10 hours as well as the drive time, I am just worn out at the end of the day and not capable of dealing with all this untill Saturday, please forgive me, I'm just too tired to sort it out untill then.

Again, Thanks for understanding, I'll be in touch with responders and will give warning before I put up items in the For Sale section. I got all this stuff for free so I'm trying to do a good deed for the Forum to make up for confusion I may have caused.
Moderators: sorry about this, it was unintended but I hope this is OK with you all.
Others: Please don't make any more inquiries about these items, wait for me to work it out and post things in the proper section.
Thank you all,
Russ Donegan

I just picked up a Redding powder scale to double check my electronic powder measure and from the drawings on the box looks like it is from the 50s' or 60s'. Mint condition and works great... for $35.00 it was a damn good deal.

It's for the round(s) with no powder, the wrong powder or too much powder.

Say you load twenty-five, head to the range, that favorite load your buddy told you of is terrible in your firearm, so, you pull the bullets and go back to your original data....Probably used more by bench rest shooters who have put hours of prep into each batch of cases. Regards

"Antique"!? Darn . . . I can remember when all of those pictured items weere new! Now I have to re-think how I view myself in terms of age! :-)

I have and still use an inertia bullet puller exactly like that. I only have one of the case holders though. So whenever I use it, I have to bend the holder to fit whatever I'm using at the time. While there are easier ways to pull a bullet, this is the best one if you need to save the bullet to reuse.
