Hi Paul,
Your son will discover 2 levels of beekeeping questions, macro and micro.
Macro questions are of the type: How do I get bees? What equipment do Ineed? Will I get stung?
Here in Ohio, each of the 88 counties has a bee inspector. We pay $5 per year per apiary for him/her to go through hives and offer advice. It is not mandatory but is very useful.
Dave--I have a Macro question for the bee inspector--"I generally want to eat at least a quart of fresh honey, a plate of hot biscuts (with a big scoop of fresh butter) and wash it down with a half gallon of cold milk whenever I get raw honey. Am I a genuine pig or simply normal?"
