Any breakfast cereal fans here?

Standard issue Quaker Oats, even in the summer. Bowl of oatmeal, English muffin, small glass of OJ.

I like Kix, the plain kind. When I was a kid my mom made an evening snack from it. She skillet fried Kix in butter until the little kernels were golden brown then salted it. I liked it better than popcorn.

That sounds good. I'm gonna try it.

I like,

Corn flakes
Corn chex
Rice "
Wheat "
Shredded wheat
Cheerios
Total

I use sugar, but don't like the "pre sweetened" ones, they seem too sweet.

Hot cereal? My favorite is good 'ol corn grits! Once in a while oatmeal.

When I was a little kid I didn't like hot cereals at all. Mom used to say "little kids in China would love to have this." She didn't think it was at all funny when I suggested maybe she should send it to them.

That special blend, 1 box Walmart Great Value raisin bran, 1 box Great Value Multi-Grain Flakes. Dump the two boxes at the same time into a big plastic ceral tub. Medium size bowl every morning keeps me more on time than the German  and Swiss  trains.

Cereal? yep, gotta have it! And it's not just for breakfast, a big bowl of cereal is a perfectly acceptable option for lunch or dinner. A few of my favorites...
Frosted Mini Wheats
Apple cinnamon cheerios (anyone else find those cartoon characters on the box a little creepy looking???)
Honey nut cheerios along with their new Medley Crunch or something like that
Wheaties (preferably with a large handful of raisins)
and the occasional treat of apple jacks, froot loops or lucky charms :D
When my wife complains about the price I just mention it's cheaper than going to McDonalds every morning!

Steel cut oats don't look at all like American oatmeal...must be a Commie plant! Whats the attraction? All I know is they take longer to cook...I think....never had any...yet.

Try adding sweetened dried cranberries ("craisins") to hot cereal--oatmeal, Cream Of Wheat, Cream Of Rice, etc. Or
Grapenuts with hot milk. Lovely. Think I'll do it tomorrow morning.

I'm a cold cereal fiend. In the cupboard now:

Corn Flakes (open)
Rice Krispies (open)
Honey Bunches of Oats (open)

Standing by are more of the same plus:

Frosted Flakes
Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds
Honey Nut Cheerios

Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes and Shredded Wheat are eaten with cold, 2% milk and less than a teaspoon of sugar.

Big breakfast cereal fan, I grew up with it. In colder weather, oatmeal or Ralston, in the warmer I keep a variety on hand.

Steel cut oats are actually one of the only cereals approved by the John Birch Society.

Seriously though, once you've tried them you'll never eat Quaker oatmeal again!

I tried to stay out, but I gotta chime in here; I'm a breakfast cereal fanatic. My wife thinks I'm a loon, but I'm living proof that Corn Flakes and milk is the ultimate food. Before I got married that was my main food. I'd eat it whenever.

I like:
Corn Flakes
Rice Crispies
Raisin Bran
Total
Special K
Cheerios
Crispix
Corn Checks
Rice Checks
Apple Jacks
Froot Loops
Captain Crunch
Frosted Flakes
Golden Grahams

I'm sure there's more, but I'm drawing a blank right now. Add to that just about any generic version of the above. While I like the sugary ones, I prefer the less sugary ones. Can't stand Grape Nuts. They are just rocks in a bowl.

Wheaties, Corn Flakes, Cheerios, Shredded Wheat, Oatmeal, no cereal that is pre sweetened. Cream Of Wheat if I can afford it, also Raisin Bran, and once in a while Rice Krispies.
