Recently moved from CA to Castle Rock, CO, which is about 30 miles south of Denver. Decided I wanted to buy a another revolver for me, and one for my girlfriend, but neither of my local GS's had what I wanted. Decided to buy online, but all the FFL's seem to be dealers. I know in CA, they would not handle the transfer because it took their business away. I may be wrong though. Any thoughts guys? Thanks. Bud

Bud- Jay Griffin used to work out of his house in Highlands Ranch and charge $20 for a transfer. I think he has now opened a shop on County Line road called the Shootin Shack. Give him a call. Here is the link to his web site:

J&J Enterprises – The Shootin' Shack

P.S. If you are looking to buy new, he can order anything and prices are pretty competitive, just a satisfied customer. Tell him Jim the S&W guy sent you.

Ask a few local stores if they will do it.Every store I've asked in Denver over the years has done it.They usually charge about $35.

Thanks Jim. Just spoke to Jay and I will definitely use him. He will either get me the gun I want or handle the transfer if I purchase online for $20. He thanks you for the referral. Bud
