Friday afternoon, in the middle of Michigan winter, not much else to do, so what the heck.....;)

Maybe not a true 'Irish Coffee', but you get the idea.

4 shots of Bourbon, 2 shots Kahlua, 2 shots Bailey's Irish Cream, 1 cup of coffee, and for that 'foo-foo' effect, topped off with whipped cream. :D

Here's mud in yer eye....

Eric,
That would definitely put me under the table and I wouldn't care a bit about what the weather was doing.

(Although I probably would drown.... We're having King Tides and incessant heavy rain with flooding.)

Every holiday season make a batch or two of home made +P irish cream. Give some away as gifts, rest for coffee. Yup it has real eggs and cream in it. Will occasionally attempt irish coffee by adding a little extra whiskey and whipped cream to the mix. We all deserve what little pleasure we can get in this world.

All that stuff is ok as well as the normal Chrismas "Toddies" that I enjoy, now and then.

However, for a little enjoyment after a meal at night, I prefer a good hot cup of "Joe"
with a large shot of Anisette poured in on on the side, depending on how the house presents it.

Lots of times it is after one or two, Pecan Punches. (big smile )

Herself and I were driving home one winter night and we were both cold. It was 11pm and we stopped at a local Outback and asked for two Irish coffees. The barmaid asked me several times to repeat my order! I finally told her how to make it. She misunderstood my instructions and brought us two mugs of steaming Irish whiskey! I ordered two more!

Big fan. The early pandemic made me realize that I had to keep it a special occasions treat, but Irish coffee really made a zoom meeting fly by.

I realize I've turned into a comparative lightweight but I'd be pretty worthless'er after that.

On a somewhat related note. I bought a bottle of Bib and Tucker bourbon awhile back and had forgotten about it. I had a shot, neat, last night. While not the smokiest or sweetest bourbon it sure is smooth @ 92 proof. It would probably be a good starter bourbon for those Crown drinkers who think they're drinking whiskey.
