Beautiful pup! My wife and I both agree when we get our next dog he will be a GSD. Right now we have a 2 year old male Bullmastiff and a 1.5 year old female Cane Corso. I'm a Mastiff lover but once we get some more land a GSD will be added to the mix.
What will you be feeding hI'm if you don't mind me asking?

Here is my current GSD, Aldus L'Acadiane. He made
2 in Dec. I have had German dogs most of my life and
have never been disappointed in one.

I'm a dog fan, don't care if it's a Great Dane or a yorkie.
He is now 10 weeks old. Starting to act like a teenager, only listens when he wants too. But we still love him. He's a lot of fun, gets along famously with Niner(see video), and smart too.

Good looking dog. At this age it's enough if he responds to his name. At about 1.5 years training will really start to stick.

She's the smartest, fastest, toughest, funniest dog I've ever had. I'll get another one when it's time to replace her. She's been a real joy.
She loves to help with the dishes.

At 6 weeks
At 4 months. She climbed in the dryer, and would not jump out. After an hour of her whining I went and "rescued" her.
The Mule and The Dirty Gurt. She's 5 months here. Currently she is 7 months.
To answer the initial question- "Any GSD fans here?"

The Mule was so easy, she is STUBBORN! She's smart, the wife and I work with her. She does what she wants when she wants. My little girl.......

First of all, thank you for sharing! She's a cutie.
I'm also starting to see the stubborn side of the breed. Super-smart, but only listens when they want to. I'll take Crusher outside to pee & play. Eventually it's time to come back into the house. Well....... Sometimes he just wants to stay outside. That's when it starts.....
If you try to chase/catch/bring him in, it's a game. He's fast & young, I'm old & slow. The neighbors are probably laughing at me & recording the show for that TV show AFV. So lately I've been trying to get creative about calling him in without making it a chasing game. I'm learning....slowly......
Some days, I think I learn as much as he learns. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I'm not an expert, but my Expedience so far has been this..... I was able to train my Lab with a heavy hand (if needed), this Sheppard..... Tried it. It doesn't work. Not sure if it's the breed or just Gurt, but her feelings will get hurt really easy. I can actually see her "trust" for me going away when I would swat her little behind, or mouth when she would chew on my ankles. She also played the "come here Gurty" game. I learned that you have to make "coming to you more fun than whatever it is that Crusher is doing". This is tough to do. Most guys don't like to use a "high pitch voice" but that works. Bring "overly excited" and A BIG BUNCH OF PRAISE is what worked for Dirty Gurt. Also, I will use "stern, louder voice", but NOT YELL. Her/their feelings get hurt real easy. Lately she has "challenged" my wife and I's dominance. To correct this (don't know if this is right or not) we will "wrestle her" to the ground, and put our head on top of hers and hold her down untill she stops "fighting it" and "accepts that she has lost". When we do this, we talk sweetly to her and pet her the entire time. Not sure if my methods are right or wrong, but they are working. BTW toilets and waste baskets are the greatest thing in the world to her right now. Last night after my shower I noticed water ALL OVER the place, she was sopping wet from her nose to her hips....... Face first in the toilet. My own fault, I should've put the lid down. Have fun.

Great looking pup. I've had a long string of bird dogs over the years but lost my last, Ruger, a Brittany three years ago.
Being older now I don't know if I can handle another hunter and give him proper exercise in the field ten-twelve years.
Funny I see this thread as just this morning I was thinking maybe a German Shepard would be a good dog to get. Maybe I will too as I miss having a dog. Just have to be careful and not get those all messed up by bad breeders.

We've been talking about starting the search for a replacement for my buddy in in the pic below. He's 14 &, like me, showing his age & arthritis.
I would love to find a large breeding pair like you did. This guy ran about 120 in his younger days.
Seeing all the pups is great! You can almost smell the puppy breath.

I have two rescues from a rescue group in Tulsa OK. I am also over run with giant hair laden dust bunnies and tank trap size holes in my back yard. I am also blessed with two selfless friends that would protect me with their lives. You could consider me a fan of the breed.

PS: In addition to the two GSDs age five @64 pounds and age three @ 80 pounds, we have two phantom tiny toy poodles about seven pounds each. All four consider themselves lapdogs. The four coexist very peacefully under one roof.

I don't know where you live but surely there must be a GSD rescue outfit near you. Maybe you would find an adult GSD that needs a home. As far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong with the breed.

I've met many German Shepherds I'd rather spend the day with over people.[emoji2]
My boy Ranger is five years old now. He's got epilepsy so he's on daily medication, but you'd never know! High ball drive and has to play multiple times a day!
