I recently acquired this pistol in a trade and was wondering if anyone has any idea on this firearm. I've personally never seen the black w/ the chrome trigger, hammer and extractor rod. Was wondering if that is after market? 1024 is the number all over.

Looks like it was Dura-Coted or some other finish, and the hammer had the case colors polished off.

Let's try this again, the hammer has not had the case colors polished off. The hammer, trigger and extractor rod are all the exact same material. I just trying to find out if this is oem or aftermarket. Looking at the screws it looks as if this firearm has never been taken apart, so either It's oem or the person who modified this firearm was really good at removing screws

The pictures aren't real clear, but it looks refinished to me from what I can see. Nothing about the finish looks oem to me, but clearer pictures would sure help. I agree with W4...hammer, trigger, and ejector rod look polished. Of course, none of this means it wouldn't be a good shooter.

I agree with the two posters. It has been aftermarket re-finished and the hammer, trigger and ejector rod have been polished. Nothing ever came from the factory like this configuration.

Defintely a re-blue by someone that was heavy handed on the buffing wheel judging by a rounded edges all over the gun, the hammer, trigger and lack of knurling on the ejector rod end.

They could have been going for the "melted pinto" look... I'd think it would complete the look if the cylinder was nickeled. What the heck, make it a true pinto style and go with the flow... I'd like it if done that way.
