I just purchased our first 15-22 and pic up this thursday. Looking for a scope and ran across this. Below is the link, if anyone has any info on this scope, please let me now if worth the money. Saw it at a gun show and with the fiber optic sights on top it looked real cool.

No idea who makes it, saw one listed on ebay the seller was in HongKong. Unless there is some company based in the US, getting real info on it would be spotty at best. If NcStar didn't have a base of operations in the US we probably wouldn't have any info on those scopes either.

I'd say it's a crap shoot... But my personal opinion? That thing is uuuuuuuugly! If you want something in the 4x32 range NcStar has one in fixed power or 3-9 variable with a red dot on top that looks better executed than that setup. $169 at rrages.com

Here's a photo of the 3-9x42 on my 15-22

Also,

Congrats on your 15-22 purchase! I bet you can't hardly wait for Thursday to get here! :)

Thanks, my boy and I can't wait. I don't know who is more anxious, I think me.

Brett248, do you use both the red dot and scope on yours. If so, do you like the performance??

If you look at "new setup for the week" me and brett are runing the same setup in 2 different configs. And it works vewry well its the best of both worlds up close targets r popped fast threw the reflex but farther or smaller targets r taken threw the primary optics

Dstar,

I won't know for sure till tomorrow how it shoots. Tomorrow is my first trip back to the range with the new optic. As long as it holds zero on the micro red dot and on the scope then it will get a five star rating from me. It's a great form factor it fits this rifle well, having the micro red dot and a magnified scope is the best of both worlds like Belt Fed said.

The red dot is parralax corrected up to 40 yards and the scope it's self is good for out to 500 yards and has bullet drop compensation for a 50 grain 223 round so this scope could easily switch over to a real AR and that was my goal because I can't swing a Trijicon optic right now :)

seems like a lot of money for something with just a fiber optic stick on top. i cant speak for the product because there is no name to go with it. i would normally say go for it, and let us know how it does, but for 190 bucks id say stay away.

Underneath the add-ons, the Primary Arms 4x looks suspiciously close to same thing including the reticle. I just bought one for $109. There are some good reports on AR boards.

I don't think it looks ugly or bulky. :p (the rails are removable)

I remember the Millet DMS you had posted a while back. Any thoughts on the PA 1-4x? I haven't seen much reported about them anywhere.

i got my barska 3-9x42 compact Tactical scope, on ebay, has rectical brightness settings, range drop, etc from a great seller, for 79.99 shipped, comes with rings aswell. Had it several months now, works great!!! The seller will even pay for return shipping if your for any reason unhappy with it. Send me a PM or whatever, and i'll get you a link to it.

Look just like the Primary arms but with the Fiber optic on top. This this also had some weight to it all metal.

Spoil your gun. Put a Leopold VX3 on it!

Certainly not the kind of scope "I" would put on an AR15 type rifle. Would look great on a wood stock rifle.

The sad part is that there isn't a whole lot of mid range tactical scopes it's either NcStar, Primary Arms or Trijicon.

(I realize there are a few others, but my point is, that there isn't a whole lot of choice in this style of scope).

Brett,
How are the Trijicons. That ugly scope was also marketed by Trijicon. The same scope, but like $40 more.

No it wasn't marketed by Trijicon. What you saw was the same scope as the one you posted but with fake, illegal trade markings (common on stuff out of China). Real Trijicon scopes start at a thousand dollars and go up from there.
